I've seen about five or six episodes so far I think and one thing I like is that the other characters get to shine a bit more than in other Slayers series I've seen where they tend to over emphasis how awesome Lina is

One episode actually had Gourry save the day for the gang and save Lina and another episode had Lina lose a magic fight against Emilia and a partner helping her. It's just fun to not see Lina always being on top and be humbled from time to time, even though I still know she's the strongest member of the team when she chooses to get really serious

I've actually only ever watched through the first season/series of Slayers.

I own Next and Try on DVD though, should probably get around to watching them someday.

I like that about it too. What I like even more is that a much lower ratio of the jokes boil down to "Lina is violent," "Gourry is stupid," "Lina and Gourry like to eat," or "Lena has no breasts," which together I think accounted for at least 80% of the gags in the original series. In the episodes I've seen of Revolution it seemed more like 30%. It's also always nice to get episodes that don't end with Lina casting Dragon Slave and making a huge crater.

Vampire Hunter D - I really liked it and the animation is gorgeous, lots of action, suspense and gore in one kick ass package  .

Fullmetal Panic Fummoffu! - Rewatching it on Blu-Ray, one of my favorites. Comedy animes usually fall flat but this one's funny, cool and haves one of the coolest openings ever.

Finished Eden of the East. Pretty good. Too many characters for an 11 episode show though.

Next is gonna be Seitokai Yakuindomo.

The Phoenix and Dark Phoenix Sagas of the X-Men Animated series from the 90s. It's in the middle of airing on Disney XD right now and is about to wrap up.

I freaking loved that show, and that is one of the best storylines from the show.

It was definitely the hight point of that series, but shouldn't this go in the Western animation thread?
