[pest]
Nice pet you have there.
Looks like you may want to buy some T. Sinensis to eat the pests in your garden.

I'd probably break my foot trying to stomp the living shit out of that.

This is my dog Brooklyn. She was my wife's and my first "baby". She would have been 10 years old in August. But we had to put her to sleep in July. We thought she had gotten Pancreatitis so we took her to the vet and the next day they called and said she had a tumor in her belly and that it was Pancreatic Cancer which was untreatable at the point it had gotten to.
She never exhibited any signs of being sick until the day before we took her to the vet, which was a Sunday. The doc said that with Pancreatic problems, the only tell tale sign is drinking a lot of water. Which she had been, but we didn't think anything of it because it was July and she plays outside a lot.
We had to put her down and believe me it was heart breaking. My wife cried for days. My daughter who is 3, still asks when she is coming home. We told her that Brooklyn went to doggy heaven, but she doesn't understand. All she kept saying was she wanted her doggy back. I'm tearing up typing this. Just the other day, she said "When Brooklyn gets back I will have to put my toys up so she doesn't eat them".
I'm at work, I better stop thinking about this
Anyway, I just thought I would share.

Aw, Frag, my condolences. I'm sure everyone in this thread knows how hard that is. My first family dog passed away suddenly when I was five and my brother was nine, and it was rough for everyone, to say the least.
Best of luck moving forward one day at a time, not only for your daughter, but for you and the other grown-ups who have to be extra strong for the little one.

Thank You! The hardest part as a husband and father is the fact that my family is/was so upset about it and their is nothing I can do about it. I never want the people I am supposed to protect hurt in any way. My daughter is only 3. She shouldn't have anything in the world to be sad about.
But, we are ok. We know it was for the best. She lived a decently long life. She had fun and was able to run, play and mischievously eat food scraps to her heart content. One day we will get another dog. One that both my kids will get to grow up with. This will be their dog. Every kid needs a best buddy like a dog to grow up with. So thinking about that makes me happy. Brooklyn was our dog though. She showed my wife and I that we could be parents. That we could give another living think a good life and that we could work well together. So, we are thankful for that.

My condolences. I can't imagine a day without my cat. Hell, I get scared shitless when he wanders a block or two from my house.
