Me: Uh, who's there?
Her: The chicken! *starts laughing*
Me: :?

It was an odd moment.
She has good taste. It's probably supposed to be one of those "brick" jokes where she tells the first part, either takes a break (varying time can be five minutes or a week) before continuing from the "knock knock" portion, or tells another joke before going to "knock knock",

I'm curious, Donkey Kong Country 3, did it come out just too late or was there something wrong with it, I recall people loving the 2nd one ( I did ) more than the 3rd. I loved 1 and 2 just about the same and the 3rd falls last.

Simply put, 2 perfected the Donkey Kong Country formula. The stage design, music, and overall ambiance were the most well executed in 2 (in my opinion). There's nothing wrong with 3 per se, it just couldn't top 2.

Yeah, I think that's it. 3 was great, music and level design and all that. But 2 was just perfect. The second is my favorite, but 1 and 3 are perfectly tied and not far behind 2 at all. They're all great games, I almost hate to rank them against each other. It might be better to consider them one giant game.

I have an embarrassing newbie question!

I never grew up with my own computer, but I know how to get by using them. But I am not an expert like some of you here. I know the basics, and I learn as I go along.

But how do you make it so when you make an underline it makes a url link?

which of the one buttons above the edit/posting makes it so I can do this?

I barely learned how to post images! So if anyone of you here can show me how to do this I'll be grateful!

Links are a Universal Resource Locator.

So type what you want to be the clicky link, highlight it, and then click the URL button up there. Then after the 'url' in the first set of square brackets, add an = and then paste in your httpwww.AWESOSOMESAUCELINK making sure it is still inside the closing square bracket. :)

Or as all spaced all

[ url = http:// removethespaces . com]Remove the spaces![/ url]

Alternatively, you could have clicked on the quote button and looked to see how folks do it themselves. :P

yeah, I'll have to quote someones old post to see that, thanks.

I do know how to post URL's but I guess I didnt explain my question right. I want to put any word and have that be the link!

also on the same subject, how do you quote certain phrases here? If I quote someone I dont want to put the whole comment, just the part I want to quote. How do I do that correctly? I've tried in the past, but not correctly.

thanks for putting up with this lazy bastard!

I figured that even with adding spaces it would get confused, but if you took Mr Roman's example there and removed the spaces in between the first set of [] brackets, you d get a clickable link that says Remove the Spaces!

For quoting, click the quote button on their comment and it will grab the whole thing. You can edit whatever you want, just make sure the quote and /quote in the square brackets are intact. There must be one plain to start and one with the / to end. They can be inside another set.

If you want to answer more than one person, you can do that without having to make a separate post for each as long as they are within the last few comments. Once you address one person, have your cursor at the bottom of your existing text. Scrosll down the page and you'll see other recent posts and you can click on the quote there which will drop it where the cursor was. If you want to sort of quote some other web page, click the quote button to create some blank ones you can paste text from wherever into.

If you're not sure if you got it right, just click preview and if you see messed up boxes or stray quote tags, count them off in pairs to find the problem.

Although Hobie already said it, the text in between the URL tags [ url =blah ]THIS TEXT [ /url] would become the clickable link.
