So what have you guys been watching lately?

Season 1 is on the ol' Netflix! I've considered watching it again, I liked it that much.

Home Improvement on Hulu

Super Best Friends playing Deux Ex Human Revolution. Man, when I first played the game I had no idea what I was doing as I went in 100% blind. Not even knowing the genre. Loved it but I know when I play Mankind Divided I will at least know the logic of how to play.

Watched The Gifted last night and I thought it was fairly compelling. The teenage main actors are actually a plus and not a detractor, which I feared. There are still some cheesy elements, but I had fun with it and I'll keep watching for now.

I recently finished up Dark Matter, which SYFY sadly canceled. Huh, imagine that, the one show I actually cared about on there, and they cancel it.

Anyway, I was hoping it would make it to the end of Season 5, the creators (the Stargate folks) had a plan already in place, and even tried to do a truncated Season 4 to resolve cliffhangers... but oh, no, SYFY couldn't stick with the show because it wasn't one of their "originals". Frankly, most of their "originals" have been terrible, so there's that.

Sorry if I seem a little bit salty. At least it got more run than Firefly.

It even got a spin-off and a couple of movies/specials to boot.

Love that show.

I've been watching the latest season of 'You're The Worst' on FXX.

I understand that the entire premise of the show is two awful people who fall in love with each other. You are really not supposed to like either of them. But, wow, these are some awful people. And I don't even like the other characters in the show. And the show feels very modern in a bad way. I sometimes see myself watching it and thinking that young/LA people are just the worst people in the world. I then realize that is kind of the point of the show too.

With that in mind, I can't stop watching it. I don't know why, but it is kind of addictive. I really like Jimmy, the main male character of the show. I like the 'heart' of the show and how it is directed. I enjoyed the season premiere the best and everything else has been okay. Nothing too laugh out loud, but good nonetheless.

If you like watching things burn or an absolute car wreck, I would suggest it. It kind of is become a guilty pleasure.
