That's not how we do things around here. You wrote something that read as arrogant and possibly sexist to some of us, so we called you on it. If we misunderstood (unlikely, but possible) then that's on us. But when people go "nuclear", the mods step in. Don't go nuclear.Reseeded Hareline wrote:If you fire a shot at me, I'm aiming nuclear warheads at your dome.

MrPopo could have "called him on it" a little less aggressively, but attacking a mod right out the gate isn't the best idea. Reseeded Hareline you may find this place to be a little more sensitive than you're used to, but if you take it easy, you'll find an impressive repository of knowledgeable players eager for retro gaming conversation.

Sexist? Don't ever accuse me of being sexist with no fucking proof whatsoever. You didn't call nothing on it. It is on you. Trying to be god with nothing to back it up.marurun wrote:That's not how we do things around here. You wrote something that read as arrogant and possibly sexist to some of us, so we called you on it. Arrogant? No. Confident? Yes. Didn't know it was a crime to be confident. Now go give your boy popo a warning up there for starting shit.

You're gonna want to chill out, homie. Reassess your priorities. This isn't 4chan.
I know you're new here. Let me clue you in on a few things. A lot of the folks here are in our late twenties, thirties, or older. My idea of what is and isn't sexist has changed a lot between the time I was twenty and the time I turned thirty.
Take a couple deep breaths; nothing is personal. We can disagree and still get along politely.

You must be talking to one of the other guys who personally attacked me and completely derailed the topic. My post was about the local GS I go to once in awhile. These dudes want to talk shit.samsonlonghair wrote:You're gonna want to chill out, homie. Reassess your priorities. This isn't 4chan.

Don't talk down to me like a child. I'm 37. Probably older than you. Again, don't mention sexist with nothing to back that up. It's pure herd mentality and favoritism against the new guy. I don't take insults so easily. No matter how many of you try to gang up.
And I have no idea what the fuck a 4chan is, I speak English.
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I didn't call you sexist. I said something you typed read sexist. There's a difference.
It sounded like you were trying to suggest a girl wasn't straight because she didn't respond to your friendly advances. To me, that reads sexist. Particularly considering that your response was that you are popular with the ladies and non-threatening, further suggesting that were she straight she would have responded better.
Did I read your words incorrectly? Please set me straight if I didn't.

The next time I stop in GS, and she comes up and starts shootin the breeze with me, I'll be sure to get a picture with the lady to show just how non-uncomfortable she is with me.
I've never even given her a formal invitation to go out for dinner and some drinks. I've been broke as a joke. Just casually ask what she does in her free time and if she has a significant other. Have no idea what her sexuality is, you never know these days. It'd be pretty dickish to blatantly ask "are you into guys?"
Some of you need to turn the PC off, go outside, and experience the real world. Instead of seeing the term "sexist" on facebook and turning into some high-horsed sheep just to get away from your own negative lifestyle and immoral choices. Learn the definition before you put your fingers on the keyboard and just start throwing that word out there all willy nilly.
I'm old school. Where we used to have human interaction. Where we had the guts to walk up and talk to a girl we liked. If she's not interested or is already taken then you keep it movin. Otha fish in the sea. They certainly ain't going to come up to you.
How do you "sexist gladiators" communicate with someone you like? Through the psychic powers of telepathy? Through dating sites where 99% of the females are bots or someone who ain't who they say they are? By looking at them, taking a mental picture, and thinking about them later while you wank? Meetings at anime or my little pony cosplay conventions?
Put the social media down and get a reality check. Don't think you know someone or what they're about by a single post on a forum. And don't call people words or assume shit when you have no clue what they really mean.
End of discussion. You've been schooled. Good night.

At least we know how to talk to people without offending them. There's a fine line between the way you are talking and being pc and most of us walk the that line unlike you. The kind of environment you are evoking is not necessary in a place like this where otherwise intelligent conversation is taking place. If you can't respect other human beings and be somewhat careful with your words I don't see the place for someone like you to continue to be here and spread filth like that.
