The Killer Inside Me. I don't get the fuss over this movie, people are just being over-sensitive about a movie depicting a sociopath going about his nasty business. The film was okay, a bit of a stretch in the logic department though.

Agreed. Love this film - it helps shows Stone's range.
He definitely has directed movies of almost every genre, but it was mainly Bogosian who wrote the film... Stone and Bogosian reportedly were at odds with one of another due to creative differences.. It was Bogosian who wrote and also adapted the play, so I think you would have to give a little more credit to him... However, I do think Stone was responsible for the acting as Bogosian performed his ass off..

The only thing that ticked me off about Oliver Stone was the fact that he butchered Natural Born Killers... I can only imagine if Tarantino didn't sell the screenplay and directed it himself..

Yessir. It's a classic.

Will probably re-watch electric boogaloo too. For some crazy reason I don't own the soundtrack to BREAKIN'. I need to get on that, soon.

Last Night. A unique, low-budget take on an end-of-the-world scenario. Won't appease the blockbuster junkies, but then it was never meant to.

I loved that movie as a kid, but after revisiting it, man was that surreal and creepy. It still does get me emotionally though ;_;

The Expendables... meh. It was okay but I just kinda hoped for a little more from that cast. Had some good moments though. I still wish Arnie/Bruce/Sly met at a themed restaurant instead. :lol:

Repo Men: I don't think I hated it as much as REPO Man Did, but I can't really give this one a positive review. They spend about the first half of the film just in setup. I don't mind that-- Mad Max spends, like, 90% of the film doing that, and I really like that one. But Repo Men failed to get me to care at all about any of its characters-- kind of like Avatar (did you think I wouldn't work that in somewhere?). It also managed to be pretty boring for the first half. Things picked up a lot once Jude Law's character goes on the run. Then things just started to get gradually crazier and more over-the-top. The film does have style, and it's evident here. I actually really enjoyed the second half of the film. It pretty much turns into a straight action movie, and a pretty ridiculous (in a good way) one at that. I watched the unrated cut, and the gore effects were pretty disturbing.
I don't normally assign numerical ratings, but given recent events:
2.25/5

The Green Zone: Meh. Perhaps it's a victim of its own advertising. This film was hyped as a reunion of Matt Damon and his director in the second two Bourne movies. This film has very little in common with the Bourne movies. It's a thriller, but more of a political thriller than an action thriller. Action scenes were competent, though there weren't that many of them. Otherwise it was certainly a competent film, and I do think I would have liked it more if I had expected it to be what it was. Finally, as one would expect, this film has a message. I more-or-less agree with that message, but they did it in such a ham-fisted way that I cringed a little. I'm thinking specifically of when Freddy yelled, "It's not for you to decide what happens here." He might as well have been looking at the camera, and that line seems out of character from his speech patterns established earlier in the film.
2.5/5

Justice League: The New Frontier

It was decent, but I didn't enjoy it as much as other DC animated features I've seen. It felt like they were trying to cram way too much story into such a short movie. It just felt off as a result. Batman:Under the Red Hood and Green Lantern: First Flight were more focused and not so convoluted

I probably would enjoy reading the original comic book series more than I did this movie
