I only connect my switch to the TV for multiplayer. Anything else I use it in portable mode, even if I'm sat on the couch in front of my TV.

Has anyone played Dimension Drive? There's a physical edition in Japan now. Curious if the game is any good, though?

Also also, have you guys seen THIS

Oooh that looks awesome! How does it work with 6 button arcade games though (are there many on the Switch?)? It doesn't look easy to reach the shoulder buttons.

yeah I'm not sure. It's not out yet, but Play Asia has it for pre-order. You can't tell from that pic, but you can put one Switch on each side to play face to face. It looks super cool. $80 is a little pricey though.

So why is it, exactly, you fell out of love with the Switch earlier in the year? I mean, I benefited, so I certainly hope you don't regret, per se, but I would like to know what changed between now and then.

I've seen that red tent render before for the Switch. I think it's a fantastic idea, if you have the space, desire, and friend to really enjoy it with considering it's mimicking an arcade cocktail of sorts cabinet design. At the minimum it would make for a fun holder for arcade games to make it feel a little more real like the other ones out there. Though for the Nintendo/Vs Nintendo stuff it would feel more authentic.

I'm bugged, people keep getting in my way. I got Ys 8 yesterday and only opened it up, still can't eve play it, and now being forced into a last minute thing as I get off work so I can't yet again. Not so much pissed, but annoyed very annoyed.

Haha. I didn't fall out of love, but at the time I was going through this thing where I just wanted to focus on one console period. And at the time I was just playing more games that were exclusive to Xbox One than to Switch. So I chose that one of the two. It also fit well for me as far as online games that I was into goes just based on having friends who were also on Xbox One. I always thought the system was a brilliant piece of hardware, and I admired the publisher support. As far as what's changed between then and now... a fair amount. The most immediate and less exciting: The weather is getting nice again. When I get home from work I'm trying to spend more time in the fresh air - so the Switch is good for that. Likewise, I was starting to feel that too many nights I'd retire to the game room while the wife was in another room. With the Switch I can sit on the couch with her while she reads or does something else. So now I can better balance where I do my gaming. Overwatch = game room; Puyo Tetris = anywhere else. Etc.

There's also just the fact that we've got a lot going on right now. A big thing is that we'll be putting our house on the market soon, and looking to move soon. And a lot of stuff is up in the air. So there may be some time there where it's just easier for me to have a portable system that I can pick up and play sparingly depending how busy all that gets. We'll see. I also like that Microsoft and Nintendo have some crossplay games like Minecraft, Rocket League, Paladins I think... But I'm rambling. Basically, I sold the Switch when I wasn't playing it as much. But now that I'm finding more use for a portable system, it's a no-brainer. Putting the features and exclusives of the Xbox One and Switch side by side, I find them to be really great compliments to each other.

But that's how I knew you'd come back to the portable realm. And maybe one day you'll realize that you don't have to pick and choose.
