Today I went to gamestop to pick up Ikaruga GCN and happened to find Klonoa 2 ps2 actually complete, which is getting harder in the atlanta area since most gamestops are throwing away ps2 game cases $4.99 and below, That store was staring too though. The store seems to be doing something else stupid and I hope its only at that store and not other gamestops. They had no used DS games with a case they kept them with the GBA carts. I asked why they had no used DS games with case and was told "Noone trades them in with cases", at which I replied "Even your transfers don't come with cases, not even one, That's odd".
I hope they are not starting to throw away DS cases like they did with GBA boxes just to save room, Which I might add that was the biggest Gamestop I have been into and I have worked and been into pretty large ones. They actually had empty wall space and no game was library style on the walls.
I also got some boxes today here's everything I got.
PS1 ASCII grip controller $5
PC-FX Controller boxed $9
Galaxy Fraulein Yuna FX cib $17
Ninja Gaiden Black cib xbox $6
Ikaruga cib GCN $20
Klonoa 2 CIB PS2 $5
Viewtiful Joe CIB GCN $3
Dune SCD
Blackhole Assualt scd
Kids on site scd
Puggsy scd all CIB

If you know of three, give em up!pepharytheworm wrote:durkada wrote:Today's grab was a TG-16, 6 atari carts, and three PS titles.
What is Georgia's only retro game store because I can name 3 besides playntrades. Use to be four though.
There once was n2gaming, now closed.
The place I went to was http://www.ccgamingonline.com/, located in Kennesaw.
I miss SwapUSA, which was once on Roswell Road. Used games, imports -- they had it all. RIP.

I use to go to swapUSA, I lived on roswell rd and worked at the K-mart across the street from them before it closed. They were awesome, not the best prices but they had a little of everything. They are partly the reason I got back into retro games, that and buying a GBA. I got my Gamecube and a SNES from them.durkada wrote:If you know of three, give em up!pepharytheworm wrote:durkada wrote:Today's grab was a TG-16, 6 atari carts, and three PS titles.

I use to go to CCgaming also when it was in Roswell, the owners had a fallout and they split up with one taking the name. There pricing is totally weird and changes all the time. I bought a Turbo Grafx from them for $40 and $50 has always been their list price, you can check craiglist. They must have been trying to cheat you saying $100.

They are the reason I got a Saturn. Saturn Bomberman and Bomberman Fight. And, I would say, they too indirectly got me going on the retro bent. They certainly fueled my interest in rare games.pepharytheworm wrote: I use to go to swapUSA, I lived on roswell rd and worked at the K-mart across the street from them before it closed. I'm familiar with their Craigstlist ads -- its how I came to know they were around. Those ads come and go. I had been pestering them over the phone to sell the TG16 for what was in the ad. It was over. But I made the trip out of curiosity, and implemented that advertised price, because they'll be having another sale. They threw in a multi-tap. I think its fair. Those ads feature ridiculous prices which they honor -- surely severely eating into their profits. But, given their shitty location, the ads make sense.pepharytheworm wrote: I use to go to CCgaming also when it was in Roswell, the owners had a fallout and they split up with one taking the name. They know what they are selling and their prices range from cheap to reasonable. They know what games they have which can command a high price-tag, and price accordingly. But much of their stock is very reasonable to cheap; even their high priced items make sense and are relatively affordable.
A pristine Crash Bandicoot Warped ran five bucks, and I got Gridrunner for 99 cents. The Atari games were all priced between $2 and $5. The price-tags were in-line for what they are. But, they sold them each to me for fifty-cents -- a bargain.
So, if they are cheating me, I liked it!
Thanks!pepharytheworm wrote: Here's the others I go to.

I knew of the Pendergrass flea market, but its a bit too far away for my tastes.
I vaguely remembered Media Mania, but haven't checked it out.
Please let me know how Super Gater Gamz treats you. Newnan is also a bit of a trek, but I'll use it as an excuse to visit a friend. CCgaming is still the most convenient I think. Dammit. I _really_ miss SwapUSA.

There's a new thrift store that opened down the road from me this past week. I plan to check it out later today. Hopefully, they'll get some games and systems in there from time to time

For 10 bucks I thought I got a copy of Darkstalkers 1 complete with longbox and manual.
But upon getting home I realized that the disc inside was Darkstalkers 3.
So I have a Darkstalkers 1 longbox with a Darkstalkers 3 disc... Don't know how I feel about this.

You bought a box for 10 dollars, and it came with a free game.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
funny enough someone's selling the box by itself for around $17 on ebay right now.
I know Darkstalkers 3 is fairly valuable too (like $25-30ish if I remember right)... I guess either way I got a good deal.
