I like gamestop because new games are expensive. If im going to buy them I might as well get reward points for it. I like to get silly things from the points like an ocarina from zelda....I have learned the beginning of purple haze on it so far

We had a local store but they didnt last long. Overpriced everything and the guys played games all day (i get why they would) but every time a customer would come in they wouldnt pay any attention to them no offer to help or upsell etc..... not very good customer service for a business.

I get all my new games from Amazon (20% off and release day delivery for Prime members), but I go to Gamestop for my last-gen shovelware.

I like gamestop for the occasional used game and B2G1 sale. Being as large as they are they usually managed to have the cheapest used price in the area for games. However almost all of my new purchases go to Best Buy or Amazon with GCU at best buy all games are 20% off new and bigger AAA preorders also come with $10 gift cards and free exclusive swag on occasion. Amazon has copied Best Buy and started offering 20% off preorders and new games for a few days after release as well. Usually Amazon offers no bonuses outside of digital goodies though but they do have a larger variety of games so I usually go to them for anything that doesn't have the $10 preorder bonus or that Best Buy just never gets around to stocking.

Really hoping gamestop goes with the flow and starts offering the 20% off for preorders since that is where everyone else seems to be going, but I don't think it's impacted them enough to make the move yet. I feel a lot of gamestops business model is built around preying on the less informed people. That being said if you know how to play their system there is plenty of cheap goodies and deals to be found.

As for the B2G1 sale it should be on all preowned items so amiibos should work if they stock them used(I know they have mountains of disney infinity and skylanders so I'm guessing they do). Heck as long as their isn't a value cap on the freebie there have been past B2G1 which have even included game consoles.

Bah, for me not a good deal and certainly not Black Friday "quality" compared to most other stores. Now if a percentage off each game then would be worth it; not that many games on the shelf to match three at similar prices to get one free at the best value. The Buy2 Get1Free works if one only owns a few titles. However, a sale is a sale, hope some can benefit from this.

They have a pstv though for $30 in the locked used portables section though >_> If i had the money and it counted towards amiibo I'd go crazy since there's a ton of those I'd love to get still(still missing a few mario's, link's, and zeldas not to mention a whole slew of others...)
Gamestop has been running a buy 2 get 3 free on all preowned interactive figures (amiibo included). I think it ends in december. I only had one amiibo til they started running that sale...now I've got about 30.

Oh yeah, tons! All three Gamestops within a stone's throw of here have quite a few Vita games. At least two or three little shelves' worth of 'em, between the new and used stuff. I'm gonna try and get there right when they open today (that's just the only time when I feasably have time to stop). I hope they have a Vita TV so bad! Totally gonna pick up one of them if it counts towards the used sale thing.

They've had a buy 2 get 3 free on interactive figures (Skylandos, Inifinity, and amiibos) for a few months now though. I went pretty crazy ham on it a few months ago, and now I have like, nearly 90 unique ones Xp

Lucky...of course I can't do anything about my collection of vita games right now but i plan on it eventually. Wish mine at least had a better case like the 3ds one's. The little plastic case I have doesn't really hold games in(others just pop out as I try to put a new one in and usually falls out when I try opening it to switch games)...

Is the B2G1 sale actually going today? My store says it starts on Wednesday.

I went in this morning like right when they opened, and THEY said (and their in-store flyer said) that the Buy 2 Get 1 thing just don't start until Friday at all. That DIRECTLY contradicts this ad (page 4) on their website, which is kind of a huge pain in the arse for me, but I guess I'll try again tomorrow morning and see if my luck is any better following Sarge's report Xp
