I got one. The local Target got two so I went to Gamestop and was 6th out of 6. I got very lucky but no one else showed up there until after the manager had handed out tickets and we had left, needed to come back before 10. Anyway, I got mine though the extra controllers stock is even more ridiculous right now.

Yeah the toys r us that had 26 systems only had 2 controllers, which was the most that any of the stores had.

Man it's just bizarre with these things. I just wandered into gamestop after being in my doctor's office for the final HPV vaccine shot and guy couldn't get it, and I told him he was better off going to walmart(Arboretum and heck matthews just aren't big gaming areas beyond madden, fifa, pokemon, and FPS that's most of what I hear people playing and asking about). Nintendo and these stores need to get their act together, it's amiibo all over again.... >_<

That sounds about right. Seems everyone had little stock on it no matter where you go...

I read somewhere that nintendo is going to keep a constant influx of consoles throughout the holiday season. So hopefully everyone that wants one can get one for the actual price.

It's likely intentional on Nintendo's part. Builds up a mentality of buying on sight.

Checked a Gamestop that was near where I grabbed lunch at, and was told they had a line of people when they opened and not enough to go around for even them, much less anyone that came in later. Not everyone took it well, including cussing out the manager.

Still it's feeling like amiibo seeing you guys post about the shortages plus what I saw with the few in the gamestop asking about it then. Funny how people are buying this up but when you tell them you play retro games they look at you funny. Unless i'm on here I know absolutely nobody that plays any of these games(my dad being the weird exception since he was the one who bought the NES originally....don't even remember when we got it if he didn't get it soon after it came out)

In the UK they're saying there won't be any more in stock until December. At least it'll be this side of Christmas to give people a chance. Hopefully they'll make plenty, as there's a lot of pissed people on the Nintendo UK Facebook page. Apparently anyone who pre-ordered after July won't be getting theirs until the next batch is released in December.

Ah, excellent news. For anyone else wondering the same thing:
A user on the Nintendo subreddit figured out that the Wii Classic Controller works with the Mini NES. According to the post, the HOME button acts as the RESET button while the Left joystick also functions as the D-pad, X = B, Y = A.
