I forced the update on iOS, it doesn't behave the same for me. It doesn't rate on a 15pt scale. It just tells me that it is powerful for those near or over 1000cp and amazes them, all the stats are great but X is highest, and that it's so tiny they almost didn't notice it. All of my evolved eevee, snorlax, and a few others are XS in size. It doesn't state any hard figures other than once with the HP on one.

I think that's sort of the point, it's really not supposed to give you hard numbers.

In the grand scheme of things, IVs don't really matter except for battles, but this might give a casual user who had no idea what all this was about to get a good idea of how battle-worthy their collection can be.

Found a Wheezing in the grocery store with a ??? CP. Threw a berry at him then readied a Great ball at saw his red ring. He ofcourse breaks out instantly. I throw another, nothing. Figure "what the hey" and toss a basic pokeball. Ofcourse that works. CP 783. Then I caught another Eevee and evolved my highest CP one to get a CP 864 Flareon. Time to go back to attempting to fight in gyms.

Weezing has Tackle and Shadow ball, Flareon has Ember and Fire Blast, so both are considered middle of the road.

I have walked over 150 km. Hatched a lot of eggs. Sadly, the last five 2km eggs have led to zubats. Argh! On the plus side, I hatched a 10 km pinsir and finally got a doduo from a 5 km. Those things are nowhere in my area. For the longest time, I would see a Tauros pop up on the radar, but I never saw him. Today was my lucky day as he appeared righy in my walking path.

My maagikarp quest is over half way done. I have 252 candies. So close!

I need four more pidgeys and 2 rattats, then I pop a lucky egg and evolve twelve pidgeys, both rattatas, a zubat, and a spearow. That should give me lvl15 and 16 in one go.

Yup! Gotta love how balls and catches work sometimes. Red rings can be difficult catches. I had a red ring catching a Pidgeot near Panera Bread today, but I took care of that with 2 Ultra Balls. CP was over 1100! But the appraisal said it wasn't nearly as good as my other Pidgeot with better IV (moveset was weaker too - no Hurricane), so I'll probably transfer it.

A Flareon with Fire Blast is the best, since it's a one-meter attack it will do the most Fire damage per second (DPS), and even more with the STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus). My first one has Ember/Fire Blast and my second one has Ember/Flamethrower, which is a 2-meter attack, slightly less damage but still good. The best for Flareon is Fire Blast, for Vaporeon - Hydro Pump, and for Jolteon - Thunder. That site I linked is good for finding the best movesets.

A PINSIR from a 10km egg? I hope he was worth it! Something I did find out, the CP cap on eggs max out at level 20, so you'll always have the best CP arcs with hatches over 20. That's why my eggs have been going so well, as did my Chansey!

I was also able to get my final 10 coins today and got my bag upgraded to 600 items! I saw an Instinct gym with just an 1100CP Hypno, so I used my Scyther (Bug effective against Psychic) and he didn't even die. Added Exeggutor to that gym and I saw the church gym from Sunday returned to Valor's control. Trained twice and then added Vaporeon to it, now at Level 7!

I confirmed that Pokémon do fully go to 0 HP when defeated during training now, so it's best not to run away when you're finished training, let your Pokémon faint and use a Revive for half HP instead of using potions, depending on their total HP you might get more HP and save potions that way!

Fascinating both that site (and flareon) along with the CP arc with eggs. I'm happy I've not burned any of my 10KM eggs and few 5KM so far. I've been pissing through the stupid 2km eggs whenever I have them/stored them first as I know they suck. I've never got something high power from them, but I have got stuff I never seen in the wild like magnemite. I'm lv18 today and 5 of 25K into that so far. I guess once I hit 20 I'll start using those 10KM eggs to see what pops.

** IMPORTANT! **

This really is, because if you're a gym fan like me, you need to listen up.

The new update 0.35.0/1.5.0, we already know about the Pokémon going to 0 HP when fainting. This also applies to gym defense. When you got your Pokémon back from a gym that was taken over by another team, they also used to return to you with 1 HP. Not anymore! They also have 0 HP, so you'll need Revives to bring them back! I found this out today when my Exeggutor returned. Vaporeon's still in the other gym, but this means that I won't be using nearly as many Hyper Potions anymore for full health, but you'll need Revives if you want to use them or put them in another gym, at least! So HANG ON TO YOUR REVIVES! This would have been a nicer update at the time I had *70* of them, but now I'm down to 10. Ugh. At least re-supply days are coming the next few days.

Great news, after my hour long re-supply run today (no revives, HA!), I got a nice Venomoth, my 2nd one, this has Confusion/Bug Buzz, my first one has Confusion/Psychic so it will be a fine compliment.

But so will the 2nd one of this Pokémon I caught on the way home!

It only took a berry and 2 Ultra Balls. Far better CP than my original, and I powered it up twice with the 4 candies I had. It also appraised well, with a 15 ATK and STA IV rating, judging by the team leader's reaction. Plus, a different moveset. The site I linked to earlier suggests that Zen Headbutt/Hyper Beam (which my first one has) is the better optimal moveset, but the only problem with that is the cooldown (that is, the time you're in suspended animation during the attack and can't attack/dodge) is far longer than Body Slam, plus I understand Body Slam is a better attack on defense in a gym. At any rate, I'm keeping both of them!

Want an easy income to fuel your pokemon go needs? Download the google surveys app and do those for google play credit.

I have made 4 bucks so gar and the surveys literally go like this.

"Did you go to meijer recently? When did you go? On a scale of 1-5 how was your service?" BAM FIFTY CENTS!

I bought two bag upgrades and an incubator with my earnings.

Hah nice, yeah google surveys when they pop up are nice. It has bought me most the games on my android tablet, but since I can't link them (can I?) it's on my iphone so that's a dead end.

Ex: Again with the 15ATK, how do you know this? My appraiser just rattles on how cool or small something is, never a number.
