Maybe consider continuing your hunt while still snagging that alternative power supply?
I mean, it would stink to hunt for a brick for years, only to find out the console is a dud. And, that aside,if the alternative is safe it would probably be nice to be able to play the thing while still seeking out the original supply.
Just an idea.

Re: How's Your Sega MegaDrive/Genesis Gaming Going On?
I played arrow flash on the cdx, then I tested lethal enforcers on Sega CD and it worked also and no problems then I put a music CD on and tested it with aa batteries and worked great.
So I'm sure it will still play fine and I've got a 30 day warrenty on the thing.
So I can wait for a little bit.

I advise against playing genesis cartridges in your CDX before you have the right power supply. That CDX is made for 9.5V 1.5amps. Using an insufficient power supply could lead to negative ramifications.

In short, you need a power supply with the same specs: 9.5V 1.5amps. Anything else is problematical.

No I'm not using the cdx at all. I'm going to wait. For now I'm just using my genesis system.

Didn't you just say you played arrow flash on CDX? I'm confused.
Re: How's Your Sega MegaDrive/Genesis Gaming Going On?
Yeah just to test it. Same thing with lethal enforcers. I might of had the system on for maybe a minute for each game.
I'm not going to use the cdx unless I get the right cord

Except for one level, the game is pretty easy for me now.dunpeal2064 wrote:You have a pretty slick Genesis collection mas, maybe sink a few more credits into Gaiares or something until the CD is working.![]()
I tried out Adventures of Batman and Robin yesterday (Well, for the 2nd time, first time solo). Holy god this game is hard. I game over'd, twice, on the stage 1 boss. No idea how to tactfully approach him, since he just spits bullets everywhere and takes forever to die. Feels like I should have a slide or... something more than just shoot and jump.
Even with how brutal it is, though, I want to push through at least to stage 2 or 3, because thre music and sprite work is surprisingly good.
It's all about recognizing the patterns and keeping your power ups. Bosses go down in seconds if you got the max power up, which I believe is 7.
Stick with the green power up imo. Red isn't bad. Never go blue.

Cool, thanks Hatter, I'll give it another shot today. I was just randomly picking up those Batman icons at whatever color the happened to be on, which probably left me at very low power.

There's no way you can get far like that. When you switch colors, you do just that ("switch", no upgrade). Get the same color and you go up.

I should know better, since that is so common in shmups.
Any Alien Soldier players here? I really want to get into this game, but holy god is it tough. Learning curve seems like a brick wall from the start, but the game gets high praise from those that have familiarized themselves with it, and the sprite work is clearly superb.
