I didn't think anything Dreamcast was, officially. I thought they were servers set up by fans and fansites, at this point.

several games (Maximum Pool for one) are still officially up because they use the same servers as the PC versions of those games. There are only 6 DC games that are playable online though total. This includes private servers.

They are, except for Sega Swirl because it is email based, effectively making it online virtually forever lol
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

I feel like the quake online engine should be so similar to UT that someone could make a homebrew and import the Quake engine into it and it would be online. All of that server stuff is way over my head.

It could be possible, but for the amount of time and money that would have to go into it it is not worth it.

IMO the best current way to get a Dreamcast online is the "Netopia" analogue router method. It will cost you less than a BBA in most cases, is easy to set up, and will support every game because it is still using the modem. This is, of course, if you can't use the normal dial up through the console.
