Went cruising around Topsham and Brunswick (Maine) today. Stopped at four different places: a flea market, Goodwill, a record store, and a game store. Ended up picking up something at every place except for Goodwill. Here's what I snagged:

I'm most excited about finding that 3DO controller, I've had the console for years but not a Panasonic-brand controller - and I don't want to pay $20+ on eBay. I got it at the flea market. At first the vendor said I would have to buy the actual console too... but he couldn't find it so he let the controller go for $5.
Oh and as a Falcom fanatic it's embarrassing to admit that I haven't owned
The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion until now (I have had
TitS for years though). Now I must find Legend of Heroes parts II and III (which are really parts III and V, the numbering system of this series is even more messed up than Final Fantasy).

^ I LOVE the King's Field games. The graphics are pretty dated, and the gameplay is slow. Despite that, I still completely adore it. Open world feel (for PS1), high-emphasis on exploration and figuring things out on your own, and a great atmosphere.

I am off to a good start in April, and I have added some great games to my collection for relatively little money. (I am averaging $2.34 per game this month - the best I have done this year - and grabbing some items through trades this month is really helping my numbers.)
In addition to the games that I acquired from the Hoobastang sale, I have also added a lot of 2600 games from both trades and from a very random antique mall find. Other than that, my most exciting finds are probably: (1) Daikatana (N64); (2) Resident Evil: Director's Cut (Dual Shock Edition) for $1; and (3) a new copy of Guilty Gear XX^Core Plus for $8. I had been looking for a copy of Daiktana (N64) for a very long time, and I finally acquired it through a trade. Resident Evil: Director's Cut (Dual Shock Edition) was a surprise find, and it is currently - and will likely remain - the only "Greatest Hits" title in my PS1 collection. Finally, Guilty Gear XX^Core Plus was a Gamestop find, and I am only one title away (Guilty Gear X2) from completing my PS2 Guilty Gear collection.
JanuaryFebruaryMarchAprilTotal Games - 260; Total Cost - $855.5
Average Game Cost - $3.29

I like them a lot, as well as most everything by From Software. Too bad the US missed out on most titles, like the very first King's Field.
@prfsnl_gmr You've found a ridiculous amount of cheap games this year! I might make an Atari run myself later this month.

There is a completely English remake of the original on PC using The Sword of Moonlight software. Both the game and the software is completely free to download.
It's not quite the same, slightly different graphics and a little different feel to the controls. But it works, and you get to play the game in English.

That's neat! I had actually thought about importing the JPN version, but I would much rather play it in English. Thanks.

Some of my meager acquisitions this month:

What did I do to deserve this, My Lord
El Shaddai
Pokemon XD
Pokemon Puzzle League
Dragon Warrior III
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles guide
Picked up What did I do and El Shaddai at Gamestop while I was wandering around town, killing some time (Also played a few demos they had up and running, which was a pleasant distraction.)
Then the local game store finally got some new stuff in all across the board. It's been a while since they got any Gamecube or N64 games in. They also had Pokemon Colosseum on the Gamecube, but since I've never seen XD in the wild, I went with that. They also got in some game guides, so I picked up Crystal Chronicles for the hell of it. And they finally got a copy of Dragon Warrior III for the GBC. I'd been hoping that they'd get that one in for a while. Now I can actually play the game instead of living vicariously through the guide I found months ago at the thrift store.

Though, I should probably finish off a couple backlog games and play the first two games on the Game Boy before I start this one
