I've read many articles on this, and I still don't see a major problem with Ouya's response nor see any real reason why e.g. Sophie Houlden pulled her game.

What am I missing?

I was hoping one of you may be able to help me on that, but I guess you're as stumped as me.

I don't really get what was wrong with OUYA's response or why Sophie Houlden felt the need to pull her game.

I'm confused as well. OUYA obviously believes that the Kickstarter campaigns were legit and they are keeping to their promise of matching the funding, which was the point of their campaign...

I don't get it. Oh well.

Who has a sane business mind that makes a deal like "We will match any Kickstarter fund for 6 months exclusivity " ?

Some of those projects run up to a million dollars, and it does not necessarily mean that the game will be a commercial success. Let alone, 6 months probably not going to bring in the money if it ever does. I can be wrong, but I think most people are willing to wait than buy a new device just to play any particular one game. In addition , history shows that indie titles usually pick up much later on. I doubt Minecraft made as much money in its first 6 months than it is making today.

So I finally dumped a little bit of money into my Ouya yesterday by purchasing You Don't Know Jack and Sonic CD. Wanted to show so support for both after really enjoying their demos.

Also I've taken a bit more time to explore the emulation options and have discovered some really great ones. Now I am fully stocked up with some great emulators, complete libraries of games, and are enjoying them with a PS3 Dualshock for an even better experience.

NES - EMUya
SNES - Super GNES
N64 - Muper64 plus AE
Gameboy/GBC - GBC.emu
Gameboy Advance - GBA.emu
Genesis - MD.emu
TG16 + CD - PCE.emu
Neo Geo - NEO.emu
Playstation - FPse Ouya

What's the trick for synching up a PS3 Dual shock? Does that get rid of latency issues?

There is an android app for connecting Dual Shocks 3 to android devices. Really handy with emulation on tablets/phones too)

Just plug it in via USB cable, press the PS button, then wait for it to sync up, then unplug it and press the button again to get it to connect wirelessly. There may be a little fiddling involved to get it to work, but that's the general idea of how to do it.

Correct. Just turn off the Ouya, plug in the ps3 controller to the usb, turn on the system, and then turn on the controller. From there you should be able to power cycle the system and unplug the controller to get it working wirelessly. Most Emulators have the an input method listed as PS3 DualShock Wireless at the bottom of each input menu as well as a PS3 Controller profile within that menu.

Playing PS1 isos with a first party Sony controller is the bees knees. 8)
