My record in Multiplayer VS mode is 123-20 (86.0% winning percentage) and I don't have a losing record against anyone (my worst record is 1-1). Along with that, my Battle record is 21-6 (77.8%), and again, no losing records, and my Wi-Fi record is 73-33 (68.9%), which, considering the number of hackers and cheaters there were on MKDS Wi-Fi, is damn impressive if I say so myself.
Please, someone challenge me. I damn well need one.

I should be able to challenge you. I'm the kind of gamer who does whatever it takes to win, as long as it's within the rules of the game. In other words, I have the exact same mindset as a professional gamer. I may be shitty at Mario Kart 7 when I start but I will quickly improve and give you a hard time.
My online win/loss ratio in MKDS is very good, but most players didn't even use the mini turbo that much, so it wasn't very hard to beat them. The point of a racing game is to drive fast and be the first to cross the finish line, but judging from the average player, that wasn't the case.
Speaking of snaking, I wonder if Mario Kart 7 is going to remove that like they did in Mario Kart Wii. I didn't like how dumbed down the Wii version felt. The item based handicap system is fun but it shouldn't be more important than driving skills. The skill/luck balance for most Mario Kart games was good imo, but the Wii version seemed way off to me.
Either way, I'll play the game for what it is and do my best to win.

How many 3DS games do you think you'll buy? I wonder if it would make sense for you to buy an American 3DS so you can get the local Mario Kart and other games and just save your Japanese unit for the Japan exclusives? The amount you'll save on shipping will pay for the 3DS plus more as time goes on.
If there are a lot of American 3DS games that I want, I would consider buying an American 3DS. But for a game like Mario Kart 7, I want the Japanese version because it has the correct names for the characters and stuff. I understand both languages, and Japanese versions are usually superior so that's what I prefer to play. Plus, it helps further improve my Japanese language skills.
If a Japanese game is too expensive, I will just wait for it to drop it price. Most old Japanese games only cost a few dollars on average. For example, I want Atsumete Kirby (Kirby Mass Attack) but I don't wanna pay $80 for it so I will wait for many years to get it. I could buy the American version today for $30 but I don't want to. It's not worth it to me.
I actually own 3 American DS games. These are all games that are not available in Japan and thanks to the DS being region free, I was able to buy them.
