So what have you guys been watching lately?

Watched Suburbagatory (Spelling?) a couple times, and I find it pretty funny. My friend that is a girl thought it was weird I liked it, but meh.

I have now begun watching through The Office. I started with the British version, but I only made it through the first season (or series, as the British like to call it.) The problem with The Office UK is that the characters are so realistic in their immaturity that it makes me cringe and think of real-life people I know just as often as it makes me laugh. Then I switched over to the US version, and I enjoy it much more. The characters in our version are much more exaggerated and silly, so that it's not a chore for me to watch. Dwight is seriously one of the funniest characters I've come across in a while.

I just finished the 2nd part (which is the final part, it's not a pilot, it's a mini-series), and I thought it was fantastic. Great special effects, especially considering it's a made-for-TV-movie. Good acting. And it told the origin story of Peter Pan, The Lost Boys, Captain Hook, and Neverland quite well. As far as I know, this is the first telling of those origins, as well, so it's something new. The only way I could imagine not enjoying this is not enjoying the subject matter itself, which I admit I am a bit biased towards since Hook was one of my favorite childhood movies.
I don't know. I certainly didn't enjoy it as much as you

I thought the special effects were awful. Everything was so clearly fake. I hate green screen/blue screen stuff because it's never seamless and always sticks out like a sore thumb. I thought the story was over the top and ridiculous, like a bad fanfic. They tried to make the Peter Pan story a science fiction story and it just comes off as completely ridiculous. The casting was abysmal, especially that indian girl. Wow, she has as much acting talent as a piece of wood and isn't very attractive either. They couldn't have picked a worse actor to play Peter either, completely unappealing in every way. I found the relationship between Peter and Hook annoying and they tried to get the audience invested in that in the first half of the pilot. It didn't even feel remotely believable

The whole thing just felt like a really bad, cheap Sci Fi channel movie with a hack writer doing the script. This network gave me the brilliant Battlestar Galactica reboot. I expect better than this.

Farewell to one of my favorite shows in Chuck. What an awesome series finale that was!

For old times sake

I've been watching a crapload of wrestling specials. The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA, The Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling, Born to Controversy: The Rowdy Roddy Piper Story, The Nature Boy Ric Flair Definitive Collection, The Rise and Fall of WCW, Breaking the Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho.

Some great stuff. I loved the nostalgia of some, and learned a lot from others (AWA & World Class Wrestling ones).

finally glad the new season for spartacus has started, although the new spartacus hasn't impressed yet. also, been enjoying the finder on fox. i was looking forward to alcatraz but it doesn't hold my attention. every episode is a repeat of the one before.
