A lot of mediocre games on the Wii, for sure. But New Super Mario Bros. Wii alone makes the system worth owning. I still have yet to check out Super Mario Galaxy and Donkey Kong Country Returns, but have heard tons about them. And I just can't wait to get my hands on Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Plus, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort may not be the most in-depth games, but they provide tons of entertainment at parties.

Thing with the wii is that in terms of game library, it didn't really catch its stride until towards the end of its life cycle.

Looking at it right now as someone who's never owned one, I can confidently say that there are enough interesting games available to warrant a purchase.

I think the Wii has always had a strong library...it was just hidden under the mountains of shovel ware for the first couple of years. I have a feeling that many Wii titles will become quite sought after in the next few years.

Oh definitely, I can see stuff like Muramasa one day fetching a pretty penny.

i can't believe this thread is still going on...

I am only convinced now that the Wii is a failure as a console
not financially
but boy is it not worth getting
well maybe now it is since its so cheap ...

I still say the really good thing about the Wii is that
i know no other console that will play gamecube,snes,nes,neo-geo, genesis, msx, 64 games in addition to wiiware+wii games
all in a small compact console...and you can do both legit or through emulation which is an addition i think because you actually have a choice

as for the Wii games only...
there are few good ones honestly, but all in all...ps3 or 360 makes so much more sense

 really?! Did you even bother to see the list I made? Anyways, 360 and ps3 share around 80% of the same library anyways, while the Wii boasts the most exclusives.
