Didn't the Marvel Zombies series have universe hopping?SpaceBooger wrote:Yes I agree. The idea of a multivers is good only if the different universes never, and I mean never, interact. In DC people would travel from one universe to another and it got confusing. Marvel is currently doing the multiverse properly with the regular 616 universe never interacting with the Ultimate Universe.marurun wrote:All this one did for me was demonstrate how ridiculous DC had let their metaverse become. Thanos was pretty cool, but most of the rest of it I could have done without.SpaceBooger wrote: -Crisis On Infinite Earths - Read this and you will understand the DC Universe better and be prepared for every other crisis afterward.
I hope after final crisis if DC keeps the multiverse they keep all universes separate.

I dont know about Marvel Zombies... I never got into that. Just like I am a DC junkie but am not buying/reading Superman Batman vs. Vampires Werewolves. These just seem like cheap marketing stunts to me.
Re: Starting to get into Graphic Novels/Manga
Basically Marvel Zombies was a What If? that grabbed onto the zombie-media craze around the start of the century. It's not exactly deep, but then again...neither is most of the material it's pulling from.

Just thought to bump this rather than start a new one.. Looking for mangas with scifi and cyber/steampunk themes. Only managed to read Akira!

I believe Ghost in the Shell and Battle Angel Alita are considered cyberpunk; I admit that haven't read them myself though.
