Just added Double Dragon II to my list, and slid the original down to recommended. Any other ports people thing I should mention? I know a lot of people really like the SMS port of the original, but I'm having trouble getting beyond the looser controls.

The Battletoads information is wrong and so is the pic just to let you know.

Finally got around to fixing a few things for Battletoads. Can't see what's wrong with the pic, though...

Hopefully, y'all already saw this great new addition to the 101 series, but just in case:

Great to see all those 8-bit and 16-bit games, like Final Fight Sega CD, Comix Zone, Streets of Rage 2, and even Batman Returns getting some love.

I'd like to, but I can't. On top of having a hard time picking favorites, I think I'm realizing I really need to play more SNES. I know one thing most people would probably look at me like I got my head on backwards for, is that I actually prefer Hyperstone Heist to Turtles in Time.
I like your site, by the way.

Perfectly valid opinion, but given how popular Turtles in Time was in the arcade, Hyperstone Heist is always going to be viewed as,"that version that's NOT like the arcade" unlike Turtles in Time on the SNES. Hyperstone Heist was a sad reminder of how inferior the Genesis often was to the SNES when it came to arcade ports, especially with Konami games(Sunset Riders is another great example)

Well, I think it's a genre that actually benefits from being shorter, which is something I think this game did right. A lot of titles(and maybe not just beat em ups), when they get to that 7th, twice-as-long-as-every-other-stage, stage, it's kinda tough to hold onto interest(except you know you're almost there). That, and the controlled running makes a huge difference. The running mechanic actually has a use here. Turtles in Time, by the time you start running, you're probably already too close to the edge of the screen to pull off anything useful.
