Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (PS1) - I had played Klonoa a bit through emulation a few years ago and enjoyed what I had played of it. The past few years, some of my favorite experiences gaming have been with platformers, so this is a series I've wanted to get into. Well, I came across a copy near me and equipped with store credit and saved up cashback, I was able to bring the cost down a bit. Looking forward to playing this later in the year! I also plan to grab the Switch compilation to support the developers.

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (PS1) - This is another title I played a bit of at a friend's house back in the day. I don't have much experience with stealth games, but I think it'll be fun to check out a game in a genre I'm not as familiar with. I really enjoy games in a feudal Japan setting, so that's already a plus.

Shining Force Gaiden III: Final Conflict (SMS) - I came across a homebrewer in Portugal who is releasing Sega Master System carts of games that were originally released on Game Gear. This is pretty attractive to me, as I'm not as into handhelds and currently don't own a modded Game Gear or Analogue Pocket to experience some of the GG titles I'm interested in. This homebrew features the English fan translation, has a translated color manual, and also came with a high quality poster featuring art from the game. As a fan of the Shining series, this is a cool item that I'm glad I was able to grab.

Paperboy (GB) - Growing up my sister had Paperboy for her GB and I would borrow it from time to time. This ended up being a favorite of her's and I grew to like it too. Unfortunately over the years her cart went missing, so I've been aiming to grab two clean copies of the game, so that we could enjoy it again.

...really good additions there Note. Klonoa is awesome and the original Tenchu is a lot of fun as well. Paperboy is one of my favorites regardless of platform it's usually just a lot of fun to play. I'm really interested in that SMS Shining Force repro though. It looks really good and making games available that many probably missed is always a welcome contribution to the community imo. Do you know if the person who made that SMS has done any other conversions like the GG Shinobi game?

Omega Boost is an amazing game! I finally had a chance to play it last year and was blown away by it, especially for something on the PS1. Admittedly, I'm not too good at it. Think the furthest I've got into the game is Level 6, but I'm hoping to eventually finish it.

Thanks Syndicate! Regarding the Shining Force reproduction, the seller does have other conversions. He doesn't have GG Shinobi listed on his site, but I believe he does take custom orders, so it might be worth contacting him. His website is retrogencarts.com. I had an inquiry after I received my game and he got back to me within three days. Just a heads up, if you end up reaching out to him!

...I think I got a pretty solid start to the year. I was hoping to find a few more classics, but Darius Gaiden is very solid and looking at the pic I just realized that I grabbed a bunch of shmups. I'm really looking forward to checking out Death's Door and the Klonoa collection, the AGVN is game I've wanted to check out since the first landed on the Wii U. I ran into the developer at MagFest and was checking out their new stuff (Iron Meat looks cool) only to find out they bought some copies of the AVGN to sell, so I had to pick up a copy. I've been passing on Red Dead II for a while now, but at a super low price and at the recommendation of friends and even coworkers I went ahead and grabbed it. Now to find the time for another time sink
