Haha, you don't have to work very hard. Do you use RF Generation? It's easy to export from there if you have it logged. Otherwise, yeah, you might want to get one.

I'm kind of feeling less bad about the total I have.
Then again if this was all games and not physical that would take some counting given my GoG account and that's not even including the freebies or the stuff that blew I just hid since you can't removed from the account. Same with Steam which is a small list as I replace them with GoG releases or they suck and get removed too. Combine the other stuff like the 2 Nintendo HDMI boxes, my handhelds, tabletops, etc you get the idea I'd easily double my amount.

I have about 180 physical games or so I'd guess, counting demo discs and other game-related media, and probably double that (not counting ROMs and ISOs) digital, which are all on PC.
Like I said in another thread, I'm slowly accumulating games to form a "top 25-50" for each of my consoles (8-10 of them not counting PC), so I feel fine about my collection. Actually, I sometimes look at it and feel uneasy about what I have, thinking about how much time and money (not really much, to be honest) I've spent on games. Then I think of people with 'real' collections and feel better about my choice of time-wasting hobby!
As for consoles, my Genesis and Xbox collections are around 40-50 games each, so those are my biggest, and Gamecube is probably in the 30s, so it's third. My Dreamcast collection is just two games, Sonic Adventure and Hydro Thunder, both of which I have on Gamecube (the latter in a compilation).
A few years ago I got into emulation heavily, and it really slowed my roll with physical games, especially PS1 and Gamecube. I became committed to real hardware about two years ago and I've been going slow and steady ever since, getting a game or two a month on average probably. For expensive games and imports, I know I'll never have physical, so now I'm pretty balanced with emulating the unreasonable to attain, and attaining my favorites.

I'm both shocked but also not really shocked that the 1,000+ club is the vast majority.
I remember like a decade ago counting around 300, when IGN had a decent collection sub site. So I think I've only bought almost another ~300 in a decade or so. But that's not counting all the digital stuff, though I like most around here still favor physical for sure. Especially with consoles. For digital Steam says I have 282, I have a lot of GOG I've rarely touched, and a ton of old XBLA games. But I've refrained from buying digital games when I switched to the PS3/PS4. I stick with Steam for digital.
I feel like I'd spend more or have a bigger collection if I had a stable living space with a house. Slim room or apartment space is probably a nice factor that adds to me being a little conservative with the buying. And my backlog isn't too bad compared to the norm, haha.

Son as of right now, I have 1155 physical games. 1693 physical and digital games together. I think some digital titles are missing from this count... These are just games, not consoles/handhelds. I imagine I have about 100 of those give or take a few.
Broken down by system:
NES 116
SNES 79
SFC 14
N64 25
GCN 10
Wii 26
Wii U 13
Switch 3
GBC 2
GBA 29
DS 81
3DS 53
SMS 9
Gen 104
SCD 19
Saturn 20
Saturn J 3
PS1 59
PS2 96
PS3 60
PS4 45
PSP 70
Vita 16
Xbox 12
Xbox 360 71
Xbox One 3
PC 620
PCE 3
TG16 17
TG16 CD 5
MVS 7
C64 1
I have had more physical games before, I think I peaked at 1400ish, but have had a few mini-purges over the years. I try to keep my collection confined to either games I know I want to play, games I played and loved and dont want to part with, or good games on consoles I think I should play. I also have some kid stuff mixed in for my kids to enjoy as they start getting older.

A bunch. A whole flipping bunch. I hate to admit it, but I can't even guess how many.

@JMustang, what percentage of that 1,134 do you think is made up of RPG, SRPG, & tactical? Probably the most RPG heavy collection here.
Well... maybe one of our members (no mystery

) 100s of version of Ys on every platform ever could tilt those scales

Between RPGs, Action RPGs, & Strategy RPGs (Roguelikes & dungeon crawlers included in the count), I get a count of 522, so almost 50% (46%)
Of those, the platforms with the most are PS2 at 65, PS1 52, and PC at 49

I would imagine Bone or Pierrot have more than I do, especially considering all the importing they do

That probably beats me. Going by RFGen, I don't think I break 400 RPGs.
I have 1337 games in my library according to RFGen, but that's not entirely accurate, because there are a number of games that I haven't been able to add on there, and 16 digital games (plus a handful of duplicates that I think RFGen counts toward the total).
