Spinoff games more popular than the main series

A couple of things to note on the Battle Network series: they can be a little intimidating to jump in so I definitely would start on the first one and work my way up the series. Secondly if you plan on actually getting them in physical form the later ones have gotten a bit pricey for my tastes. In either case I highly recommend it.

I'd also say that if you just want a taste for the series, don't be afraid to go for one of the cheaper, more common middle entries. They're all pretty damn similar mechanically, from what I've played of them.
