Spring break is in a week or so though, so perhaps I shall try diving into 1 a bit if I don't have any plans with frands during that time

Y'all are really hypin' up the series for me. I tend to really get sucked into sandbox games with good senses of humor (I've played through Saints Row 3 like 3 times and 4 like twice), so I have a feeling right now, in the middle of midterms, isn't a great time to start one up Xp

Yakuza has a great sense of humour. It was somewhat amusing to find myself in the middle of a side quest helping a high school girl to stop selling her panties. Or a teaching a shy Sadomasochist, dominatrix prostitute learn how to please her clients with abusive language.
Erm, yeah... Yakuza can get very weird.

My Yakuza games should be here today! Not sure when I'll get around to playing them, but I excited.

I got 1-4. 1 and 2 were, obviously, dramatically cheaper than on Amazon or eBay, and 3 and 4 were about the same - maybe a tiny bit cheaper - so I figured that I'd go ahead and pick them up to save on shipping since I got them from the same seller and know that I'm getting them new.Blu wrote:Which did you get Elkin? I'd warn you that these games can be pretty long (and probably 100+ hours if you want to 100% any one of them), but... I guess it's not a big deal since you beat games in a day.

I actually have a secret time manipulation device (one of the ones that Hillary Clinton had the UN build to take over the world), so I just create a temporal rift where time doesn't move.Xeogred wrote:I'd warn you that these games can be pretty long (and probably 100+ hours if you want to 100% any one of them), but... Seriously, though, I rarely 100% games, and it'll be a while until I get to Yakuza (especially since I have to wait until Monday to get the games; the seller I bought from is outside of the United States, and USPS usually requires signatures for imports, and I didn't get home until the post office closed already today).

Yeah I rarely 100% things thesedays. I breezed through 3-4 and they both took about 30 hours. I had like 20% completion in the stats haha. But I hear 0 and 5 are like 50 hours plus, even cruising through. I dig that about this series, you can easily brute force the story if you want, but there's a lot more to get lost in as well. Fun and easy to jump back into the main story and do some random stuff on the side, unlike a lot of other games that don't handle that balance as well.

I checked my time when I beat these...
Yakuza = 18 hours
Yakuza 2 = 19 hours
I certainly didn't do every sidequest or try to collect every collectable.

Hate to break it to you, but you won't be getting it Monday, that's Presidents' Day.ElkinFencer10 wrote:I have to wait until Monday to get the games; the seller I bought from is outside of the United States, and USPS usually requires signatures for imports, and I didn't get home until the post office closed already today

Re: More PS2 Reprints, Yakuza 1-2
Because I am an idiot, I am going to have an extra copy of Yakuza. (I ordered a copy of Yakuza rather than a copy of Yakuza 2.). Does anyone want it?
I will pay an idiot tax and sell it shipped to someone here for less than the eBay cost just to recoup some of my losses. I am also open to trades. If you are interested, shoot me a PM
