probably a good idea, yeah.

I tried working with a tech chat last night. First he asked me if my console worked. I said "I don't own a console." Then he asked me if I could borrow a console from a friend. I said "no." He then told me to reset my router and restart the PC - effectively ending our conversation.

May be unrelated, but I know PSN was under maintenance most of yesterday.

yeah - this was going on before (and after) that though.

Did another chat w/ PSN tech. Basically the usual troubleshooting stuff...

PSN: Does your console work?
Me: I don't have a console.
PSN: Reset your router.
Me: I did.
PSN: Reinstall the app.
Me: I did three times.

And the eventual conclusion was a shrug and I was asked to leave details of the problem in the Bug Reporting thread on the PSNow forum. Strangely though he asked me to leave it in the EUR forum. I pointed out that I'm in US, but he said he knew and that they were having folks specifically post bugs there to be reviewed. So maybe that's something? I don't know. I'm def not the only one reporting this on the EUR and US forums though.

FINALLY someone from Sony has acknowledged this:

Re: Black screen after loading game on PSNOW ( sound and controller still work) PC

This issue is being actively investigated by PS Now developers. As soon as a fix is ready, a patch will be released.

In some ways I have matured as a person, but not in the ways that prevent you from laughing whenever you hear the word 'dongle.'

gave it some time, and now the service works fine for me. I played the opening of Heavy Rain and there was never a hiccup. They've also added some new games to the lineup (Catherine!).

Are PS3 games still coming out in the US? I don't even know. Last Guardian is a PS4 exclusive right?

Well we're getting P5 on ps3 next year so yeah...kinda wish it was possible to play all the games I currently own through now either digital or not. Kinda stinks that it can't be done, since that would be perfect...
