I was called entitled on Nintendo's subreddit because I stated a 16 player roster in Pokken was too small for a universe that has over 700 unique Pokémon. Even when I backed up my claims that I know it's not a Smash Brothers game, that making unique fighters with movesets, programming, etc does take time, I was told I was wrong and to get over my entitlement. 2 of these characters include a luchador Pikachu, and a Shadow Mewtwo.

I certainly hope the broaden the roster. I'll be getting the game, but damn people are unable to accept criticism for a new fighting IP.

Seems like a great community!

There's your problem; Reddit is behind only Tumblr and 4chan in terms of being the arm pit of the internet.

I totally agree with you. There are so many Pokemon that would have made GREAT additions - Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Bisharp, and Primeape all immediately come to mind.

I don't know who decided that chandelure needed to be a fighter. There are plenty of better options than that.

Chandelure is one of my favourite choices, so to each their own.

They might have chosen him deliberately as a power character as he's one of the hardest hitting Pokémon out there. 145 special attack puts him only a little below the likes of Mewtwo.

Yeah I'm probably a bit biased towards the characters with clearly defined limbs. I'm wanted to play as blaziken and machamp.

I love Chandelure, and I'm glad they went with a Pokemon that people wouldn't typically think of in terms of "That one needs to be in a fighting game!"

Honestly, my biggest gripe is (despite my suggestions earlier) that I wish they had used MORE atypical fighters. Everyone expects Machamp to be in a fighting game, and I'm glad it is, but I wish they had gotten creative and used Milotic or Carnevine or Magnezone.

Well I went through the tutorials and played a few offline matches with my wife. Then I went online and totally dominated my first match. That's all I have time for tonight but man I'm enjoying this game.

I played around offline for a while last night and today, and then I went online. I got rekt. lol, it's a ridiculously fun game, though.

I tried my first online battle yesterday, fully expecting to get destroyed, but I managed to win. It was an awesome fight too and really close, with us both winning a round each, before I picked up the win in the last round (and I won with like 10% of my health left, so it damn close).

It's a fun game. How far are people with the Tournament mode? And is anyone else finding the game a bit easy offline? I've only lost one match so far (and it was against Shadow/Black Mewtwo in its first appearance). I assume it gets harder once I'm into the B and beyond stages though.
