Dark Souls III
Re: Dark Souls III
Just a fair warning to anyone who didn't know, the Estus Flask in that edition can't actually be drank out of. It isn't actually cup shaped, has no hollow center.econoemu wrote:Another pretty cool edition to Dark Souls III. Dark Souls III: Estus Flask Edition! Gamespot.com shows off this pretty awesome $120+ strategy guide. This game is getting expensive but I must, for Miyazaki.
Just found that out myself yesterday and thought I should spread the word.
Also, I'm curious, who else is trying to avoid as many spoilers for this game as possible? Or are you guys soaking up as much info as possible to get prepared early? I feel like I spoiled myself on too much and dampened the experience of Bloodborne a bit, so I'm trying to avoid it all now.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

I was posting the bottom half of this right as you posted this so I hope you won't think ill of me for guiding people to the source.MrEco wrote:I'm curious, who else is trying to avoid as many spoilers for this game as possible? I love learning about the lore of the game just as much as I love playing it so for me it's hard to not spoil somethings. I personally am very interested in how the item descriptions would tell the story this time around. Dark Souls 2 was riddled with poor translations that made things sound more cryptic or completely wrong. Partially why we got Scholar of the First Sin.
That all being said, if anyone is interested to see how the game is in it's current state, VaatiVidya has 3 videos up from the final test event.
These are lore heavy videos and do contain spoilers.

Haha, no problem man. If people want to look for details/spoilers more power to em. I've been doing good so far in avoiding them. Just one more month to go.

I couldn't help but very briefly skim around some of the videos posted now. I guess there was some early access a week or two ago so there is a ton of early footage, three bosses, etc. I didn't skim much though and have been avoiding most things.
Re: Dark Souls III
I figured if I was to post anything about it I would post them with the spoilers heading out of respect. I hope you won't avoid this forum post and I hope others will follow suit and respect the spoilers code.

Re: Dark Souls III
Dark Souls III is like the other two. I am really intrigued. Will probably rage quit fast when I realize how difficult it is. Gonna wait for a big sale.
Re: Dark Souls III
So far I'm really enjoying it. It does seem a bit weird playing in offline mode though since the servers aren't up yet. My initial impressions are that it's more like Dark Souls 1 than 2, with aspects of Demon's Souls as well.
