It is an odd choice: it has six or seven minigames, a boss rush, and lets you play as the other knight, but I cant remember if there are any differences to the original two games.
Yeah - it's not mandatory we play it, but as Fast mentioned - there is a ton of stuff not found on the US/PAL releases.
7 mini games, able to play as Ginger, boss rush - all bosses from both games.
It of course includes both original games, complete with bug fixes.

Oh, a couple light gun games for those of you who are interested in them:
Death CrimsonJinzou Ningen Hakaider ~Last Judgement~And since you guys have been talking about Digital Pinball: Necronomicon, it's part of a series. Before Necronomicon, there was Digital Pinball: Last Gladiators that got an international release. But there is a Japan-only update of this game, called Digital Pinball: Last Gladiators Ver. 9.7, which features adjusted ball movement, some minor fixes, and the ability to save multiple scores per table. The changes apparently cause some difficulty fluctuations for certain kinds of shots. Not sure if this interests you guys, and apparently Ver. 9.7 is pretty rare, but I figured I would point it out.

Most of what I wanted is on the list, except D-Xhird. I've asked before on another thread, but got only one response. Does anyone have a take on this game to have it included or excluded? Or is it more of trying to spread the search to different genres, Mj?

I haven't played DxHird - I think one of our fighting guys I respect has though...and said it was atrocious iirc, CD Ages or the7k maybe? Maybe i'm thinking of Zero Divide Final Conflict...not sure. I'm cool adding it - i've never played it and it's not expensive.
There are a handful of exclusive 3D fighters that are supposedly really bad and some that are excellent.

It's from Takara, the makers of Battle Arena Toshinden, which may not be high praise, but I enjoyed the first game of the series well enough.

yeah that was fresh in my head too - CD AGES mentioned DX-hird recently and said it wasn't worth the $9 he spent on it:
viewtopic.php?p=1020906#p1020906At the same time, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to checking it out. As Mick alluded, a cheap exclusive is interesting nonetheless.
@Joe: I actually seem to like Toshinden more than most people do, haha.
