For me though DQ7 and 8 which looked like we'd never get i"m up for. I can't do RPGs anymore on a console due to life and kid, but in bed and the couch yes --

This. The 3DS ports of DQVII and DQVIII will be great ways for me to <finally> play through those games.

I've never played them before nor even viewed much more than some basic info and images years ago so they'll be fresh. I honestly doubt I'd finish either given I hear that 8 is over 100 hours which sucks, but I'd get my value still I think.


Anyway as I see it I'm buying 3 or maybe 4 SquareEnix games next year
DQ7, DQ8, and Bravely Default 2. That FF Explorers I have to see, not a fan of MMOs and if it's like forcing you to play online too hard to handle single player I'd ignore it as the last thing I want to suffer from is dumb AI aka henchtards as it gets infuriating.

Then there's Hyrule Warriors which I'm fairly certain I'd get, and also that Mega Man Collection I'd snap up definitely. Beyond that it's WiiU or download stuff I don't care for. Fire Emblem is just too much game hours involved and I don't much care how it's divided over $80 worth of content either.

Gonna hold off on Twilight Princess for a while. That one's not labeled as a special edition or anything, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard to snag later after my wallet has some time to recover a little from the mass holiday spending.

Yeah I noticed they didn't pop up until this morning, went and preordered this morning online(just because it helps my budget a bit if i don't go into a store...I'll find something else I want ha ha). Though twilight princess kinda is a special edition, it comes with the amiibo, soundtrack, and I think a few other things since next year is the 30th anniversary and it doesn't come out until then...I definitely want that soundtrack(I gotta figure out what happened to mine for skyward sword or order another one somehow mine is kinda screwy acting now on my computer now that I've changed computers...)

Edit: darn it, apparently I didn't go through fully with my purchase this morning so I'm not getting fates unless some odd retailer still has some preorders left(which proves Nintendo still hasn't gotten demand right for games or amiibos...)

Yeah ended lucking out and my gamestop right next to work had it still All collector's editions are officially pre-ordered yay!

I'm glad Linkle is happening even though I don't have Hyrule Warriors. I'm still waiting for the day where a Zelda game will let people choose a female Link or just outright have a canon female Link because why the hell not? It completely boggles my mind that anyone is upset about this. Link has never really been a bastion of macho sexuality to begin with.

I agree but it's still kind of frustrating in a way. If Nintendo wants to do something with a strong female character, they have one that they have been ignoring a lot lately - Samus Aran. Where is Metroid??

Or if we want a female lead in a Legend of Zelda game then... why not Zelda herself? Why would they NOT use Zelda?

Nintendo has a couple of strong female characters. They should use them.


Otherwise, I really liked the Direct.

What they should do is pull a Super princess peach but with Zelda or Linkle having to rescue Link(heck though they could have the two team up to save him and I'd be okay with that...). Nintendo seems to be falling in that same area where some are with not using a or their female leads they could use for a new game. Still one of the better directs in a long time...just need a definite Zelda U release date and with how long it feels like they've been working on it that thing better be flawless.....
