I don't think you understood the question. This thread is about modern games made in a retro style.

Well Evoland and VVVVVV both own.

I'll be checking out the Escape Goat games soon based on all the recommendations.

Haven't played too many of these sorts of games, but I quite liked Eversion, Tobe's Vertical Adventure, and VVVVVV. Oh and I guess Fez if that counts.

oh, I love Fez too much. Finally, so glad that I've met a person enjoys playing this game like me.

About Fez: It's truly a classic platformer, the depth of this game is phenomenal (see what I did there?). With secrets and puzzles to keep you occupied for days, it is so easy to sit back and become absorbed in the tranquil atmosphere of this game, created by a fantastic soundtrack and a gorgeous art style. Loses a single mark for a clunky map/navigation system, and controls that on rare occasions felt somewhat unresponsive. It also could have benefitted from having more in the way of a story, but that's just my opinion.

My favorite one would be Eversion! If you're looking for a good indie platformer, look no further than "Eversion". With a modern retro game, everything else is spot-on. The game's technique of switching between different dimensions is very intriguing indeed; this has the combined difficulty of Super Mario Brothers and Castlevania. Overall good!

Did you say modern retro games, or retro modern games? I though this was a great update for Bionic Commando.
