After seeing it in action, it kinda looks like SFxT in terms of combos, movement and even saw ground bounces like in SFxT.
I might actually get it if that is the case. If it's just SF4 again, then no way am I bothering.

Thought I saw an OTG in there also. Curious to see what the mechanics are for this game.

The backgrounds are so detailed and cluttered, it seems visually overwhelming. I would have preferred something more impressionistic with a more minimal, yet stylish artistry, so that it looks pretty, but still keeps the focus on the fighters.
Nevertheless, looks like classic SF gameplay.

this is probably "THE" game that would finally tempt me to buy a PS4 (then again i could just get it on PC).

Here ladies and gentlemen, is the exact problem that the PS4 (and to an extent the Xbone) has right now in the marketplace. 90% of games are available on PC, so you ask the question "why should I bother when I can get it cheaper on PC?".sevin0seven wrote:this is probably "THE" game that would finally tempt me to buy a PS4 (then again i could just get it on PC).

1. Easy access to a larger display. I'd need some pretty lengthy cables to hook up my PC to my TV. Some folks have their PC in a completely different room which complicates things further.
2. It is much easier to resell console games. DRM makes it hard for the average person to know if they should purchase a used PC game (assuming it isn't a digital download).
3. Online community. Sometimes the console version of a game ends up being preferred by the online gaming community. Very common with fighting games because it makes for easy standardization at tournaments.
Now if those reasons don't apply to you and/or Steam sales mitigate the cost of reselling unwanted games, I completely see your point. Personally I am eagerly awaiting the Steam Machines, not because I want one, but because I want to see how it will affect other the consoles' business models.

Ignoring the fact that you have to shell out £300 for an extra system to play games I can get right now on PC. A cable from your PC to your living room TV is the least of your concerns. I have a 10m HDMI cable I paid £15 for. With Steam streaming, buying a low power media PC (such as the ones from Intel for less than £100) would be the preferred solution.bmoc wrote:Off the top of my head:Niode wrote: Here ladies and gentlemen, is the exact problem that the PS4 (and to an extent the Xbone) has right now in the marketplace. 90% of games are available on PC, so you ask the question "why should I bother when I can get it cheaper on PC?".

yeah I used extra parts to build a streaming box. It has no GPU. I paid only for a mobo and case. SteamOS is free.Niode wrote: Ignoring the fact that you have to shell out £300 for an extra system to play games I can get right now on PC. But how is latency? I could see the streaming aspect killing responsive fighting game controls.noiseredux wrote:yeah I used extra parts to build a streaming box. It has no GPU. I paid only for a mobo and case. SteamOS is free.
