This is true. And while it seems to have died down, many find the term "Native American" to be disdainful since it was seen chosen by the American goverment without any input by them.

Show me where Redskin is a historically established slur. Not a single message board or anything else recognizes it as a slur, there's nothing out there to say it's always been a slur.

Nope. Some team names were just blatantly racist because they could be back then, like the Ethiopian Clowns and the Zulu Cannibal Giants.

Some were just terrible like the San Francisco Sea Lions and the Tennessee Rats.
