The "fun house" sequence is the one that sticks out in the mind. I seem to recall that was the "meat and potatoes" of the third act. How short is it?

The nail in the foot is one of the most horrific scenes in cinema. And Hughes was told to hold back on graphic displays.

If I'm not mistaken, Robert De Niro passed on Pesci's role. Pesci nailed it, But Bobby would have also been awesome.

Yeah, that's the part I am talking about. It is maybe 15-20 minutes, if that. As a kid it felt like half the movie or more.

While it has its moments, I always felt this movie was overrated. I also could not stand when kids in school would copy all the stuff Macualay Culkin does or says in the movie.

Same shit happened when Austin Power was popular.

But Austin Powers is actually funny. I mean Home Alone is a great holiday film for the family, but it's not one I'd call a comedy classic.
