I wonder what the benchmarks for two Radeon R9 290Xs would be.. If I ever get some money I'm thinking of trying it, of course I would have to replace my PSU again.. I have an 850W atm. I think you need atleast 1000W to hold those babies.. And I hear while you get amazing performance per card, they run hella hot!! Even hotter than high end Nvidia cards.. T_T
I looked at the highest-rated mobos on newegg, but every single one of them had the same instant failure complaints. Rather than trying to avoid a unit that will fail - it seems that all of them might - I should get one with a good warranty and respected customer support. Which manufacturer is my best bet? Seems ARock and Gigabyte aren't very good options.
Go for MSI or Asus.. They are more expensive though..
If your hellbent on getting an i3, i would suggest a lower tier video card like a 7770, or a 7750.
And to the person who said not to get Gigabyte or ASRock, ive used both and currently loving ASRock and my next build will also be a ASRock.
I don't think he is buying everything from scratch.. It's a set of existing parts and a few new buys..
was this directed at me? Yeah, it's kind of a Frankenstein based on some parts I had, some parts I got free/cheap from friends, and new stuff that was compatible with those parts.
