The Genesis model 1 is a sexy machine. It's like KITT from Knight Rider turned into a video game console.

Bonus points for the Japanese Mega Drive with that big golden "16-BIT" emblem. I love it.

It's got the really rad, futuristic look that lots of technology in 80's sci-fi anime had.

Everything else looked like toys next the the Genesis and the Saturn.

Except the NES which looked like a VCR.

Agreed. Genesis 1, 2, and 3 are ugly as hell. Things get even worse once you add the Sega CD and 32X.

I love the SMS design. It just screams "80s".

Saturn is a big black beautiful beast.

Dreamcast is sleek and futuristic.

Game Gear is probably the worst of all.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is a Japanese limited release version?

By the way: The white Saturn isn't a limited release. It's just the Japanese model 2.

It's not the best in terms of hardware, but in terms of case design, the Gennesis 3 is pretty groovy.

I too like the Genesis 3 type compact design.
It's great for Famicom carts as well. :P

Is that a famiclone inside a Genesis 3 shell?
That's so bad, it's good.

The Model 1 Genesis has a cool off-center look that reminded me of the Millennium Falcon when I was a kid.

I'm really simple. I like the compact designs in black.

Genesis Model 2 is just lovely for me.

Seeing all these crazy and colored designs, the USA Saturn is growing on me.

The only non-black Sega system I like is the Dreamcast. I love the default white.

But... I love the black one much more (not Sega Sports one). And I know those are hard to get because they were limited in Japan or something.

I don't have this much money to spend on a system merely for the color, but my gawd, this is a one sexy system.

It is pretty sexy in black

How come you don't like the Sega Sports version? Just because it has the logo on it?
