Your post made me ebay search "trapper keeper" to find that these things have become stupidly expensive: $35-$55.

I suppose this is a result of the nostalgia factor times the durability (or lack thereof) inherent to the trapper keeper. I got a new one of these every August when I was a boy. By the following May my trapper keeper was torn to shreds. Meade probably engineered them to wear out before the start of the next school year.

I'll keep an eye open for one next time I go thrift shopping.
You don't have to use the "Trapper Keeper" brand. Any 3-ring binder will do. Preferraby a hard cover one, not one of the floppy ones.

Collecting GB/GBC games is always a temptation for me. Link's awakening, wario, metroid, lots of great franchises and games were on the gray brick and its successors.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

No doubt. I already have my game boy cartridges in a card album. I just felt a nostalgia rush at the mention of the "trapper keeper" brand. It's a cool idea to keep your retro games in a retro binder.
