Crap, I'm seeing many people who preordered from Newegg are only getting a standard edition. Now, I'm kind've pissed as that's where I ordered from as well since there was a deal from there to get it for $33.99.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm not sure if I should return it or just hang onto it. How many tracks are on the CD and is the artbook even anything special?

There are 25 tracks. It's very videogamey (duh). I doubt I would listen to it in the car, but it's a fun listen. I will throw it into my "at work" playlist.

The art book dedicates a page to each character with an illustration. That's it. Nothing spectacular.

I haven't unfolded the mini poster yet, but it's pretty small... like the size of a sheet of paper (8 1/2 x 11).

So yeah, the soundtrack is probably the only item worth getting the LE for.

I guess I'll just keep it. I looked up an unboxing video on Youtube and the contents don't look all that great tbh. Still a little bummed, but oh well I did save 6 bucks. I will definitely stick to Amazon from now on with LE's though. 8)

Except Amazon insists on shipping in bubble mailers so the corners of my LE box are a bit dinged.

I use Amazon ALOT and my stuff always comes in a cardboard thing. Especially game preorders.

Same here. I have virtually nothing bad to say about Amazon as a service, but I've had a few LEs in hard cases dented up and have avoided ordering LEs in special packaging online since.

I played for about 30 mins last night. Lots of fanservice. I was geeking the fuck out a few times. Characters will show up from other universes and help out. Everyone seems to know everyone else's background.

The gameplay is pretty vending machine candy/fastfood. It's a lot of fun figuring out which commands will activate moves that keep enemies in the air. And there is a light strategic element when it comes to positioning characters on the map to open up assists. I can already tell it's going to grow a bit stale after everyone joins the party and level caps.

I tried the demo, which really just throws you in and lets you sink or swim. I seemed to get by just fine button mashing. I thought it was fun. I am a sucker for all the fan service. The battles really play out like one of Capcom's versus fighting games. It's all kinds of insanity with five or six characters onscreen unleashing all manner of insane attacks. I think players will have to create their own depth in this game, finding the most effective combos, trying to land criticals, etc. That's fine for me. I'm not the sort of player who needs depth and challenge forced down my throat. I can create my own personal challenges. Project X Zone will be as deep or shallow as players want it to be.

It's weird having no English voices, just cause I'm used to that in Capcom fighting games. I don't mind though
