Nice, Donnie! I didn't know quite how many you had accrued yet, looking good! I like Blue's Journey quite a bit and it's comparable in price to the MVS version, maybe i'll start with that and Magician Lord.
Here's something I don't know - what determines if a game has the snap case or the slip-over lid? Is it region specific or just random?
Side note and shameless plug, here's my babies who chose MVS as the system we'd get out over their spring break..
Blue's Journey always looked neat to me, almost snagged it at PAX East but it seemed just a tad expensive. I'm mostly into Neo games that aren't fighters.
Agreed, while I do enjoy the fighters too, for sure (Garou is so technically sound, amazing) and I like the Last Blade and Breakers series quite a bit too, but, I def find myself playing different types of head to head games. Short / Sweet / Fast.
Windjammers gets a lot of love, and deservedly so, but I prefer Flip Shot or Bang Bead for that style of game.
Ghostlop and Pop n' Bounce are both a ton of fun in the competitive puzzle game category.
I don't consider any of shooters 10/10 like some CAVE, TOAPLAN, etc, stuff, I really enjoy the non-standard fare of the neo library. Captain Tomaday, Zed Blade, View Point and Prehistoric Isle II being my favs.
Blues Journey is a lot of fun.
I really enjoy the fun artstyle of Spinmaster and Top Hunter as well for some co-op games that are not in that same Metal Slug / Shock Troopers vein.
One of the more overlooked games when people make best of lists (as i'm apparently doing right now) is Ganryu, an excellent 1p Platformer, better than Ninja Warriors Again imo, and close to Cannon Osman Dancer.

It's by release date: newer releases have the snap-lock. I don't know exactly what the cutoff date is, but for what it's worth, King of Fighters '94 has the soft case and King of Fighters '95 has the hard case.

Ganryu is some good stuff. Blues Journey is good for all the Engrish. Crossed Swords, Burning Fight, Savage Reign, Ninja Commando, Sengoku 3, Neo Drift Out, Super Baseball 2020, Neo Turf Masters, Neo Geo Cup 98, that's the stuff I like that isn't a shmup.
