Different universe? Or different plane?

Universe. They don't have a D&D license so it won't be in a different plane.
So spiritual successor. Still, as you say:

Hmmm... I'm not sold on the multiplayer component. The fact that you can do everything offline doesn't seem to make up for it, since there are touted features like player housing real estate market which makes me think that there's more of an MMO focus.

Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, Planescape Numenera and now a new Ultima game? We are at the dawn of a new renaissance era

The problem with Richard Garriott is that he is a very forward-thinking individual, and every one's focus seems to be on multiplayer and social media (even his, sadly) and whatnot rather than in refining the classic single player game experience. I'm not sure if its possible to do something as groundbreaking with modern technology and kickstarter resources as what the Ultima games did during the 1980s and 1990s. I'm sure he wont settle for a rehash or a nostalgia act, he wants to innovate and push the RPG genre to new heights.

Among The Sleep

This is a survival horror game where you are a toddler inside a creepy haunted house. I posted about this game awhile ago because I loved the preliminary trailer they had made with in-game footage. You can see that gameplay teaser as well as a knew one that suggests the game also has you in some outdoor environment. This game looks like it will take me back to being a scared little kid who shouldn't have stayed up too late watching Poltergeist.

This looks utterly fantasic and terrifying! I had to back this one. I hope they eventually look more into adding oculus rift support, I think it would be perfectly suited for a game like this.

I have to say though, the outside parts in the latest teaser didn't instil the level of fear in me that the interior parts did. Anywho, thanks for sharing JT!

So many obstacles. So many obstacles. So many obstacles.

It's like Tyler Perry Lite, and it is just that terrible. If you can make it five minutes in, I may send you a prize.

The girl in the pink shirt isn't horrible, but the guy she's playing off .. whoa.

I quit at 6:34, when the other girl gets sent upstairs. I've already lost enough braincells today. :(
