For retro games, I don't think I've ever paid more than $50 for one game. I know that's what I paid for my CIB Conker's Bad Fur Day, and that's about what I paid for Guardian Heroes and Dragon Force.

I still don't understand why some people think it's weird paying "a lot" for second hand/retro games, that you'll probably get a ton of fun out of.
It's "weird" or I am being "ripped off" by paying £40 for a copy of Rez on the Dreamcast, but it's normal to pay £45 for the new Modern Warfare which most trade-in a year later for a fraction of the price.

$80 for the Soul Calibur V CE, $85 if you count the money needed to preorder. So not worth it, but I'll keep it.
Other than that, $50 for KoF XIII, and $40 for Street Fighter Alpha 2 on Saturn. Not only did I feel it wasn't worth that, but I got SF III on PSN the next day, and remembered about SF Alpha 3 for PSP, on PSN for $10.

My biggest purchase was $2050 + Shipping for my Stadium Events cart. Beyond that I've got a few other 3 digit titles like:
Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak - $200 (shipped)
Little Samson - $100 (Shipped)
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue - $120 (NIB when it was released)
TMNT 4-Player Cab - $450 (delivered)
Quite a few more titles that were between $50-100 though.

I have gotten lucky and got all my console games at $50 or less. Now some of my Naomi arcade games have gotten up there. Here they go.
Asian Dynamite $200 (Over paid but only source I had.)
Giga Wing 2 $200 After repair cost (I got ripped off and had to repair it.)
Border Down $150 (I got a good deal on this one and have been offered $250, turned it down of course.)

Damn, that's not bad. Did you just get it on your last trip?

Like 30$ on conker's for the N64
The second on the list is REmake on GC for like 25$
Now my limit for retro games is 15$ and for current gen games 30$
I need patience to wait for a good on a cheap price but i still need to learn to wait

I paid about $90 for an excellent condition copy of Shining Force 3 on the Saturn.
That's probably by far the most expensive game I've got, as I don't think I've paid above "new retail price" for anything else.

Re: What's the most you've ever spent on one video game?
The most I've ever spent on a game is $117 for Lufia II complete in box. I just recently purchased this, as well. Before that, I think the most I've paid is $60, like for a new, retail game.
On a side note, the least I've paid for a game was 12 years ago, when I was given, for free, a copy of Earthbound.
