Hobbies other than gaming?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

FLA and Skinny Puppy aren't metal... :?

Industrial metal? You can't argue that Skinny Puppy doesn't completely rage sometimes.

Not metal anything. I mean hell, majority of FLA and Skinny Puppy songs don't even use guitars.

Metal isn't just defined by 'rage' anyway. Lots of rage in rap, hardcore punk, etc too.

...but that's probably enough derailing so yeah

Working on and tweaking cars. My friends and I usually get together a couple times per month to work on SOMEBODY's car. Then we hit up Thunderhill or Buttonwillow to race it....then it breaks again and the cycle repeats itself. I also flip cars on craigslist for extra money. Buy a clunker, fix whatever needs fixing, then sell it.

I like all kinds of stuff. I really got into manga and anime a few years ago (no surprise there when you consider how much I love JRPGs), though I probably don't own enough to be considered a collector. I'm still an anime novice (I've mostly just been exposed to "popular" stuff like Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop) so I love discovering new series.

I like music quite a bit - specifically underground music (hardcore punk, metal, etc). I used to spend a great deal of time collecting CDs and vinyl, but now that most of my collecting is focused on video games I tend to download a lot more albums. You can view my music collection here.

I read a bunch - about 50% fiction and 50% nonfiction. I like horror novels quite a bit, especially those by fellow Mainer Stephen King.

I also like to play other non-video games, like CCGs, board games, and tabletop RPGs. I especially like Magic: The Gathering (well I did, I don't keep up with it much anymore), Tanto Cuore, Settlers of Catan, D&D, and many more.

Probably my biggest hobby is running - well, if exercise counts as a hobby. I run every day and sometimes compete in races, though not so much anymore now that I'm getting older and am slow as hell. I watch all pro track meets, sometimes on TV but mostly on European livestreams.

That's about all I can think of for now. 8)

You're 14. You don't need to be "boinking," and you haven't been looking long enough to be considered forever alone.
