I still think Adrian pasdar would make a good batman.
What? I don't think that JGL would have to play Bruce. I think he can be Batman as John Blake or Nightwing as Blake. My issue with this universe would be:
1.) You would need some of the same characters to come back to help with world building. You could probably get away with just Gordon.
2.) How does Blake get money to be Batman?
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
I just read a couple articles that said that Nolan is done with Batman movies, but knowing his cunning and planning he may be sticking around in Gotham for a while.
I have not seen the movie yet, but articles have stated that JGL's John Blake states that that is not his "legal name" and is set up to take over protecting Gotham. Many have speculated that JGL could legally named be Dick Grayson and Nolan will do a couple Nightwing movies, but someone stated the the heroclick (a game) states that "John Blake's alias is Azrael".
So maybe Nolan will be returning to Gotham and the next "Batman series" won't feature Batman.

TDKR ending spoilers:
John Blake's full name is Robin John Blake. He inherits the batcave at the end and presumably takes up the cowl.
I'd also rather Nolan not return, nor anyone else go back to this universe. TDKR is such an appropriate ending.
In the comics yes. I knew that. I know my Batfamily well, I was just relaying what someone said the Dark Knight Rises based HeroClix stated.
AppleQueso, I can't resist a spoiler. After reading that I personally don't think Nolan will go anywhere (movie wise) with that fact. It seems that he wanted to go back to the whole "A symbol means more that a man" statement from Batman Begins as another way to bring the trilogy full circle.

Batman is, really and truthfully, a character with general guidelines hard set in a crazy and violent universe. Batman is a character that you can tell many stories with. You could take the view that Batman is just as if not more crazy than the Joker, or you could view him as an upstanding hero, or simply as a rich fool that likes danger.
My point is that you have a strict character and setting, but the plot itself is up to you. There's a gallery of rouges and allies to chose from. Or make your own. I think this needs to be more established.
Overall, I want to get slightly more comicy with all of it. I will accept unbelievable things in the plot of a story if you play them as believable. I want to see Killer Croc, I want Bane to be unnaturally superhuman, I want the Al Ghuls to be immortal due to Lazarus....
I'm writing this at 2 in the morning, note I may be a bit off onwhat I'm trying to say and what I wrote down.
I'm willing to almost put money on the fact that the reboot will take the opportunity to use characters and ideas that simply would have no place in Nolan's universe.

Something like Man-Bat or Clayface.
Killer Croc would be great, but kind of hard to see that as Amazing had The Lizard (but he did look goofy so that could be improved on).
Still have no clue what Stark meant by there was another Riddler cameo in TDKR, but seeing as I want to see the detective side of Batman (suit on, cowl off, studying blueprints and whatnot in the batcave) I'd like the Riddler in the new Batman.
20 years ago, the KGBeast would have been awesome.

I suspect that Stark
was probably referring to the Scarecrow/Crane cameo and got the name mixed up
Killer Croc could work considering it'll be at least another 3-5 years before another Batman movie showed up.
And yeah a properly done Riddler would be nice. Carrey's Riddler was... weird.
A properly done Mr. Freeze could be fantastic too.
You know what, screw it. Throw a dart at a list of names of Batman villians. Pretty much ANY of them could make for a fantastic movie if handled right.
