I saw the uncensored version today...not much different...to me nudity and *stuff* all over someone is pretty much on the same level of...badness? The lawsuits still ridiculous. It'd be like if I sued someone for calling me a poopyhead. So that means I better start filing some lawsuits if the court sides with Ubisoft.
Oh god. I feel totally used. So glad I didn't pay for this game. I feel sorry for the millions who did.
For those who don't know, this game has no ending. And I don't mean it has a cliffhanger ending like God of War 2. No. I mean it has NO FUCKING ENDING. Things build up to the point where you are just about to get some real answers, and you're walking around in a room aimlessly. You can read a few emails which really don't answer shit (and yes I read a FAQ on them).
After a while you eventually realize that's it. There's nothing you can do here. You have to manually quit the game. That's the end. Wow...
Fuck you, Ubisoft.

Did you go into the room where you sleep every night and look at the wall with the "vision"? A very short scene occurs and then the credits roll. That's what I thought at first too, that absolutely nothing happens.Mozgus wrote:Oh god. I feel totally used. So glad I didn't pay for this game. I feel sorry for the millions who did.

Or are you talking about post-credits?
Yeah after that. Nothing. I dont care about the markings. I want an ending. Or at least a message that says you may quit the game now, because I was walking around like a moron looking for something to interact with.Flak Beard wrote:Did you go into the room where you sleep every night and look at the wall with the "vision"? Same here. I spent close to 30 minutes in that room before I just quit back to the dashboard. The markings have hidden sayings which is cool, but I totally understand where you're coming from.Mozgus wrote:Yeah after that. Nothing. I dont care about the markings. I want an ending. Personally, I thought the game was pretty well done - I have the Playstation 3 version. I think the game does run a bit short though as it really could use some more side missions or quests perhaps unrelating to the main storyline.
As for the ending - after the credits roll you can go back and reply any of the previous missions. Still it would have helped to say the game is over!
My guess is perhaps they are going to release some expansion or downloadable extras. Perhaps you'll be able to walk back to the animus and discover some secret prequel missions or something. Probably a better chance of this happening sometime this year now that the PC version is out.
Given the sudden ending I think the sequel will pick up exactly where the game ended. Perhaps they had more of the game finished but choose to end it there and leave the content for the sequel or expansion.

I just don't see how you're ok with this kind of strategy. They hyped this game up so high, and then they have the nerve to not even finish it. Fuck sequels.ImportBoy wrote:Given the sudden ending I think the sequel will pick up exactly where the game ended. Everyone wants to do a trilogy these days, but at least most of the time they realize that part 1 needs to stand on it's own and be self-contained. Look at this team's own Prince of Persia. Sands of Time was completely self-contained and awesome. It didn't NEED sequels to be complete, but they delivered some for the people who wanted some. Look at any kind of movie or game trilogy and you'll see that they follow this rule. It's important.
I hope their sequels severely tank, much like the DS prequel did. Those in charge of this project deserve to be fired. I don't expect every lowly underpaid developer at Ubi to be able to stand up and declare bullshit on ideas like this, but the people who had the ability to make changes sure as fuck should have.
Isn't it crazy how angry I am over this when I didn't pay for the game? This anger is entirely attributed to what I feel was my time being wasted. Imagine how pissed I'd have been if I actually bought this thing.
The only good thing that came out of the unfinished story was how it gave a big middle finger to all religion and other mythology.
