I just love the weird sound of the song.
Now thats some sense of humor
None the less, if I was in a band I won't make fun or mess with my fans because I live off them,
thats a bit like
Kojima making a crazy MGS saying you guys like this game too much, snap out of it hahaha
uh...

The Beatles simply put were and are the greatest. Rock and Roll was giving way to other forms of music in this country when they came along. Folk music was becoming popular, ask the David Crosby, et all.
If you really want to understand them though, listen to their solo stuff and you get a good idea what each of them brought to Rock and Roll.
Also, for those Ringo bashers out there, Paul tried to control all aspects not just Ringos drumming. Go ask the guys who played in the Wings with him, he had problems with them too. He also ridiculed Harrison for his guitar work, try All Things Must Pass, or 33 and a 1/3.
Paul is a pop artist nothing more.
Seriously though, listen to Lennon and Harrison solo, the others too just for the experience. Also, research Pete Best, and George Martin. Martin was more the "sound" of the Beatles than most people realize.

My two favorite songs of all time:
I Want You (She's So Heavy)Hey BulldogThe fact that the Beatles were such an influence on later music is what is their biggest legacy. Hell, if you listen to the end of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", you can hear a hint of doom metal there. Seriously. What other artist or band could say they influenced a genre so far removed from anything else they had ever done or ever would do?

I personally don't like them, and am extremely bored by them. I'd even go as far as to say they suck.
Now that I have that out of the way, I shall prepare my fortress of stone (flame resistant- cwutididthar?) and happily listen to those whom I believe to be better musicians.
I will give some merit to their lyrics being deep and metaphoric, but I've always wondered how much was intentional. Meh, I just like to voice my opinion.

You aren't allowed to use lava. This is the internet, we do have these specific terms for a reason.

If you haven't found something by the Beatles that you like, then you're not trying hard enough.
Because, literally, they have something for everyone.

You know its possible that I will not at all like them, and may never find I'll something I like? You can't fairly make sweeping generalizations like that.
By that argument, everyone should like some form of metal. Because there's such a wide variety of interesting music and sounds and vocal types you can have.
Guess what? I actually don't know all that many metal heads.
