Strange to think that you young guys play and own a bunch of retro games released before you were even born... The only games I own older than me are for the Atari 2600.

Zelda, Metroid, Outrun, and console wise, the Master System.

Same year as me. Some other cool games are Castlevania, Dragon Quest, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, and Bubble Bobble.

There's also Leather Goddesses of Phobos and the original Might and Magic, but I've never played those.

These guys did the work for me lol.

Except they forgot Super Mario Bros 2, SPace Quest 1, Kings Quest III, Gauntlet II, Ikari Warriors and probably a bunch of other random stuff

Pretty sick year, though.

I sometimes feel sorry for people who haven't had the opportunity to experience gaming since it basically began in the mid-late 1970s and very early 1980s. Playing a VCS game for them likely doesn't invoke any of the nostalgia that it does for those of us born around that time. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to kind of grow up with the medium.

'91 for me too. These games are good and all, but my personal favorite release of the year...
