the silent hill HD box didn't used to look like that
I mean it had the girl and everything but that silvery arch type thing wasn't there

The difference between NES and Master System artwork is absolutely staggering. Imagine walking into a game store in 1989 with the intention to buy a ninja-themed game. Which one are you gonna choose?
OR

Yeah.......
And let's not forget the Master System Sega Card games where the "artwork" is literally just a photo of someone's hand holding the game!

I'd say it's pretty much the same.
The bigger difference I think, lies in the technology. Then, the covers where actually painted, most of the time. Today, we have more advanced computer graphics.
But the covers are still pretty much based on explosions, cool characters and a sylish or flashy logo.

Agreed, they just look boring, and in the case of the Silent Hill one it's just atrocious. I think the Ico/SotC Collection really nailed it, by just having the original cover art for both games and using a reversible cover.Damm64 wrote:I don't like these "collection" games in one that are coming out
I don't like how it says "CLASSICS HD" and there are thumbnails of the games on the cover. Just looks weird. The Japanese boxart for these collections doesn't seem to suffer from that.
