My favorite is the Genesis by default. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection and Sonic Mega collection means I have 80 something Genny games with actually owning the console.

I grew up a Ninty kid so I can relate. Thankfully I had friends with Sega consoles.

Dreamcast, definitely. The small but unique library of games appeals to me.

Honestly it depends on what you want:
-2D action: Genesis add the sega Cd if you want cheesy 90s music and voice acting
-Mid 90s Arcade awesomeness: Saturn + ram pack
-Weird but unique and fun: Dreamcast

Genesis. I love my Dreamcast / Saturn / Master System but something about the games on my Genesis just call my name.

This is the hardest question I've ever been asked in my entire life.

............Sega Neptune!

I would have to go with the genesis. I had every sega console and everytime I always went back to the genesis. I love the games on it. I had the saturn and sold it, dreamcast and sold it, master, game gear and the genesis I owned many times and went back to it. I think even for me I perfer to play the genesis than the nes, snes and even today's consoles.

Although the Sega Dreamcast is a REALLY close second, my favorite has to go to the Sega Saturn. It's not only my favorite sega console, but my favorite console of all time. I can't exactly place my finger on what made it so great. But it lends itself to a time where creativity seemed to be at it's peak. The worlds that were created, althought they screamed 90's, were absolutely in your face, whimsical, and unbelievable. Games like Nights Into Dreams were so foreign in concept yet immersive. Heck, even the racing games, especially Daytona USA were incredibly Arcade-like fun. (With it's super-cheese dance numbers and ridiculous crashes, and excellent scenery.) The sega saturn, although not quite as serious as it's competitor, was all about fun, all of the time. Even the lesser games were generally tolerable. But maybe that's just sega fanboyism. You decide.

Honest I'm going to say the Saturn. As much as I love the dreamcast, most of its best titles have been ported elsewhere. Little reason to own one now. The Saturn has a ton of exclusives though.

Its really hard for me to pick between the Mega Drive and the Master System. I grew up a Sega kid until the price of the Saturn made me a Nintendo 64 kid by default. Master System and Mega Drive are the reason I loved gaming growing up, and the reason I ended up collecting and playing on old consoles. I had a brief fling with the PS2, and have all the major Sega and Nintendo systems from NES/MS up to Dreamcast and Wii, but its the 8 and 16 bitters from Sega that keep me gaming and collecting.

My answer therefore is the Mega Drive 1 with Power Base Converter!

Does Mega Drive with Mega CD and 32X count as one console?
Well I think Mega Drive alone will still make it to the number one spot.
