You can play through most of Xenoblades without the gem crafting system. The system itself is rather silly. I'm kind of tired of jrpgs having gimmicky item crafting systems. Yet another sign that Xenoblades is not the innovative step forward for the genre that people keep saying it is. If anything, it sticks to most genre conventions. Just let me beat bad guys and get cool stuff. Sick of the modern, dumb, equipment synthesis/creation nonsense in these games. They are not remotely fun or interesting, just an excuse for players to "grind" for items. This was a huge problem with Final Fantasy XIII. It was a pain in the ass getting the stuff you needed for the best weapons. As if Xenoblades doesn't make you waste enough time hunting down items for the four hundred some side quests in the game

Pre-ordered my Last Story through GameStop. Anyone else being told to wait until Friday to pick it up? I guess there's been some sort of shipping delay.

My Gamestop told me Friday as well (I called them when I didn't get a phone call to come pick it up). Everything I've read online says the games been delayed til the 16th, so maybe they're just trying to stay on the safe side. They DID say that they got the pre-order bonus CD in though. So I guess the pre-order and the game got shipped separately.

Either way, it's only a 2-3 day delay. It's not a big deal for me.

my gamestop also told me the rumors about getting pandoras tower pre order dureing release of last story is false. We are not getting that game :(

But we got xenoblade and last story so hell xenoblade alone was the most important out of the three

This is definitely floating under the radar... not hearing near as much hype about it as there was for Xenoblade. Even though I've heard mostly bad things from people and sources I trust more than others, I'm still going to get it.

Alright well I just picked up my copy of the last story pre order at my local gamestop and all I gotta say is wow! The case looks like a beautiful book and the back is beautiful and the soundtrack. I know it has a full color illustrated 40 pus page Artbook to. Im now gonna open it although I wanna keep this one in a ziplock or keep the plastic on the outside part so it does not get dirty.

I love Nintendo and Xseed :D If this were on 360 or Ps3 they would have charged like 70-80 bucks for this bad boy and we get it as a pre order at no extra charge. Anyone who does not have it I suggest you pick it up now cause only the first prints will have the special box and artwork/sountrack. Trust me this is worth every penny.

I also think this will be kinda like rpg's when the Saturn was ending like magic knight rayearth and such. Games that you did not here much about but were beautiful and basiclly a hidden gem, I also think the value will be up there. Im just happy and feel privileged to own this game.

Here are some pics :D I plan a review and in depths look soon,

It is beautiful, isn't it? I picked it up on Friday and wanted to open it up as soon as I got it, but I resisted. I'm almost done with Final Fantasy IV Advance and I know if I open it up now it'll distract me to much and keep me from finishing it.

I am listening to the soundtrack though. I didn't even know about it until I called Gamestop earlier this week and asked them about the delayed release. It's a nice little bonus :D
