I love this game. I also play it on and off every couple of weeks. Speaking of being off a couple of weeks.... I am going to fire this up right now!

@bruno: what's FROM MODE? I know about Spelunker, which sounds ridiculously hard?

From mode is basically hard mode. Blue dragons appear all the time, more enemies, take way more damage, bosses have more HP, etc. A lot of people feel that it's harder than Spelunker mode, myself included, although neither modes are all that hard to clear.

ah ok. Yeah I might play through that , but not right away. I wouldn't mind picking up the official strategy guide and eventually going through the game again but with the benefit of knowing all the shit I missed the first time.

A few minutes ago I just got up to the fire temple. I also acquired a fish sword which was pretty funny.

I laughed my ass off the first time my character slashed that huge sword that went all the way across the screen. When I heard you got a "big sword" I was thinking of something like Cloud from FF7, not something screen-filling lol.

I just started this game a couple days ago and am having a blast. I just beat the golem and have 3 orbs. I haven't done much exploring since I'm just going straight to each dungeon. Should I spend more time exploring... or should I just dungeon hop?
