Looks good abeaver do you need to know Japanese to play this game.

Not really, the missions are pretty self-explanatory. There are these optional characters you can pick up that apparently give you special abilities, but I never pick them up because they just shout at you in Japanese to head for your target (most of the time you are already doing so). If you don't use them you can press the X button to locate your targets on the map.

HOLY CRAP $100 for the system? I'll go shopping locally for one, even the retro store sells systems for half that price.

Well he is out of stock anyways. I made some purchase with him before, he is pretty cool. Im guessing $50 for the Saturn itself, the Mod Chip which these days sell for $35 although i know at one point they sold for $15, and i guess the rest is for his troubles of doing the actual work. So i guess its not to unreasonable. I did it myself, the Saturn was $40, plus $35 for mod chip. Then i had to purchase a cheap soldering iron, and solder (which luckily was on clearance) plus i needed it for another project. So in the long run the project cost me about $90.

The $100 I commented about is his current price for pre-modded systems...

Exactly so he is providing the Saturn itself which typically goes for about $40-$50. The mod chip which separately goes for $35. So about $15-$25 goes to labor. Not to unreasonable the way i see it.

Pre-modded = he has already modded them for you. They have mod-chips pre-installed. I think you didn't understand that.

Ok apparently I didn't, I thought it meant before the modding process. That's usually what the prefix pre means anyway, if it was grammatically correct he should say post-modded system. But yeah, I still wouldn't pay $100 for a tampered system.

It IS grammatically correct. It has been PRE-modified already for you, as opposed to selling you an un-modified Saturn with a mod chip that you need to install. Pre-modified before purchase. This language has been fairly common with modified consoles since the mid-late 90s. You made an incorrect assumption.

"Post-modded/modified" could mean the condition of the console after the modification was undone, if you want to pick at semantics.

$100 is a good deal for a pre-modded Saturn. It is guaranteed to work. If you do it yourself, it is not guaranteed. If you mess it up, it is you who pays for it. You are paying for the console, the chip and the work. If you want to insult those who do this service and call it "tampering", then why are you even posting on this topic? Do you even know what the purpose of this "tampering" is and the cost/time involved?
